Hi Egils, Thank you so much for producing such a wonderful teaching video. I really appreciate your professionalism and your great contribution to the dancing community worldwide.
Edgars Linis and Eliza Ancane’s demos are so great to watch! Some of their steps are so big and the swings were so strong and graceful, which really show out the beauty of the waltz. I wish the other demonstrators in your videos could learn many things from them. There is no question that a topnotch and/or perfect demo can attack viewers’ eyes, motivate viewers and significantly enhance the learning experiences.
Edgars Linis and Eliza Ancane, thank you two very much too. Wish you more successes in your dance careers!

Hello again, Egils!! I really appreciate your teaching!! For anyone to give you a thumbs down is laughable and only shows their lack of understanding of what you're doing.
I've been exposed to a lot of Waltz technique and coaching from International and American professionals. In Standard, is it just not common at all to use an American Twinkle?? I don't see it in your teaching videos. I see a Hover and Open Impetus but do not see it from Closed or Outside Partner from Left to Left side?? Do you not care for it or is it simply missing from the Standard Syllabus?

Thank you D'Amico Dance for appreciating and enjoying our dance videos. If I understand you correctly American Twinkle is close to Whisk, both use Promenade Position in similar way. Left to Left side position (Man steps forward on Lady's left side) I use in figure called Wing and following figure.

Egils Smagris thank you for the super fast reply!!
Yes, I see you do it there. On crowded social dance floors I try to continue around the floor without pausing too often and never really moving negative Line of Dance but I do enjoy the opportunity.
Could the man just do a Left Closed Change with a feather finish while turning Contra Body during the 2 and transition to PP? Rather than stopping the momentum to do the Whisk?
      Thank you in Advance!

I would suggest to do Travelling Contra Check to PP. It's even more progressive.

      Thanks again.
I’ll search for that video now.
Is there something fundamentally wrong with Twinkle? Is it contrary to the Standard philosophy? I really appreciate your straight to the point answers.
I’ll gladly support you on Patreon. 🙌🙌

Thank you - you are so welcome.
I think to close feet while opening Promenade is not convenient foot position - we choose either to do slight cross or step to side (or forward) in PP.
