    I wonder what the difference was between the budget of Marvel’s Avengers and Guardian’s of the Galaxy. Avengers was way more right? The whole progression, loot grind thing needs to be constantly tweaked and must have cost them a fortune. Then you have Gaurdians, which obviously isn’t some low budget indie either, but I’d bet anything it cost a lot less then Avengers. GOTG was clearly made by people who love the source material and wanted to bring it to life. Everything about Avengers just feels like “corporate blockbuster the video game.” It is so one note and generic. Anyway, my point is better games can be made without spending Avengers money if devs know what they’re doing.

    • @giannidescalzo2101
      @giannidescalzo2101 Před 2 lety +2

      The MCU is far from being a trashfire, that's just ridiculous.
      GotG is one of the best adventure titles I've played in years. My problem with Marvel's avengers is that it just gets boring. The level design is garbage. When I purchased it and played it it looked beautiful, I had no performance problems, so maybe I played it after they fixed their thousand bugs. I still didn't finish it, and I never got to the point of playing online, because fighting the same robot enemies over and over and over again just felt like a monumental chore. Marvel comics has such a wealth of fascinating villainous characters, just as many if not more than they do heroes, and they went with AIM bots.
      It was a waste of $60.

    • @johnwrath3612
      @johnwrath3612 Před 2 lety

      @@giannidescalzo2101 the MCU is hot garbage. End of story.
      There are never any real stakes, seeing as how death is never the end.
      And as far as Avengers, specifically, the only real danger to the city was the nuke that was launched
      Hulk took out BOTH the warship and Loki BY HIMSELF
      The other heroes were of no real importance until Iron Man grabbed the nuke
      Which, again, even the nuke was forced tension, seeing as how the Earthicans didn't need to launch the missile in the first place
      So yeah, this game is totally in line with the "overblown and underwhelming" style of the MCU

    Ten more for ya.
    *1: Battlefield V* Think 2042 was bad? This one got ugly. As bad as the game may be some fans took it personally, going to war, wanting it to fail, raging against Angry Joe for not being angry enough replete with Final Battle...until tomorrow. It reached the point that the game was unplayable for it's utterly toxic fan base.
    *10: Madden NFL 22* Some may recall Goat Simulator, which was the most broken game of all time, by design, it was intended to crash and glitch and more a mad scientist's lab. Madden 22 looked at the game and said, "hold my beer and watch this." It is honestly terrible and coupled with the lack of options, microtransactions, and bugs that defy belief it's little wonder why there was such scorn, after years of the series going into decline.
    *9: Fable* Like No Man's Sky the game's reach exceeded it's grasp. Gamers were promised long lasting world shaping events from the main quest to incidental details, but the series just could not deliver. Combine this with crass out of place humor and a game that cannot decide if it wants to play itself straight or as a parody and it left a lot of fans irked at it's creator.
    *8: WWE 2K20* When the game was finally given up on for good it was honestly okay to play, and it was fun to mess around with the likes of your XCOM commandos, Blaze, Dovahkiin, Ned Stark, Tracer, Hawke, Buffy, Shepard, Jack Bauer, ect in WWE. Problem was it should never have been in such a sorry state in the first place and the state it's in now is a buggy glitchy mess with everything from Royal Rumble being unplayable to options being removed to the game bricking your entire system. And 2K don't like these bugs being revealed, at all, much preferring to take the money and run.
    *7: Battlefield 2042:* No point in playing unless you use hovercrafts. Bad reinforcement system where even if you take down one god mode watercraft six more can just be spammed in. Broken gameplay. Connection issues. Fans were not happy, not "THERE'S A WOMAN IN MAH VIDEO GAMEZ REEEEEE!!!!!!! REEEE!!!!! REEEE!!!!!" levels of mad but not happy nonetheless.
    *6: Resident Evil 3 Remake* This one honestly hurts as it could have been so great. Even before the game released fans were very upset that the game did not stop and present a option on how to deal with the current situation in the live selection like the original. Using this on the fly, such as try and flee Nemesis or ram him with a car, was not implemented and we got a linear game. No pre game build up. Silly beginning. No clock tower. Fans were not happy, seeing it as a vehicle for a multiplayer microtransaction side game.
    *5: GTA Online* As great as the game can be there is are several issues with it ranging from Rockstar focuses on this for it's microtransactions to pricing everything so far out of reach you virtually have to buy shark cards to skip the grind to the fact this is a troll's wet dream cum true, with griefers flocking to the game to go on rampages against everyone just wanting to do other things. Some fans were not happy, and some fans were not happy that some fans were not happy. Being an asshole is the entire point, they claim. Rockstar keep giving us all this content for online, they claim. It really is a contentious issue.
    *4: Metal Gear Survive* Konami had really earned the ire of gamers between it's dropping of all it's beloved series' to the gutting of The Phantom Pain to their treatment of Hideo Kojima, bad enough that Jack Bauer himself stepped up on his behalf. Survive seemed almost custom made, specifically designed, to undo all the good will of the Metal Gear games and have fans hate the series, hate Kojima, so Konami can just focus on soccer and pachinko. Fans caught on and were pissed.
    *3: Mass Effect 3* Honestly half the list can be EA but we look to this one specific entry and it's mainly related to the ending. Everything the trilogy had been building up to, all the promises that our choices would matter and it would not fall to a button prompt, and we get How I Met Your Mothered. And there was suggestions that the ending would have been even worse: your Krogan teammates being put down when they started eating your crew? Yikes. There was outrage. And boycotts. And law suits. And charity drives. A year later Bioware brought out the free Extended Cut and the Citadel DLC which a lot of fans saw as a much more fitting send off.
    *2: NBA 2K20* For years the series had been in decline, with 2K18 being condemned for 2K attending seminars on how to hook kids to microtransactions and gambling on card packs. When Belgium stepped in 2K e begged their fans, including kids, to pressure the government to bend the knee and allow this exploitation, that's how the Department of Justice defined it, they agreed this was child exploitation. Then the My Team trailer hit, after feverishly denying it's not gambling it's not gambling it's not it's not it's weally weally weally not, 2K rubbed it in our faces that yes it is gambling. Slot machines? Ball drops? Fans were furious and rallied en masse. Hell I very nearly made a parody trailer after fans were at me about replacing Cash Nasty, a paid for 2K shill who admitted it was gambling, with kids to get the point across to the ESRB who sided with 2K. We could accept GTA having a actual casino where you pay real money to have Harry from Kingsmen serve you drinks because it was up front. 2K doing basically the same thing and claiming it's not is tone deaf.

    I liked cyberpunk anyway I played on Xbox one x at launch and yea it had issues but the crashing was few and far between I was lucky I owned a one x I heard the regular one was unplayable with one s being almost as bad. But the recent patchs have done alot alltho I feel they went overbored with the wanted system. Before it was a joke you could escape easy. But the new one even 1 star is a nightmare. Even once your wanted status is gone pass by a cop and BOOM your wanted again for doing nothing but passing by. To get away you need to engage a cutscene or mission to get them to back off

    I would make the argument that Madden 21 and 22 should be at 2, because they are basically the same game, and they refused to put the Next gen version on PC for Madden 22, even though some of the biggest features of the game are their selling point. Also Madden 22 had just as many, if not more, bugs, and some of the same bugs from the beginning of Madden 21. I wish they would just stop making it for last gen and focus on next gen so PC can play the actual full version of the game.

    Bad games need to be understood, so that we don't make the mistake of repeating their awfulness... Or, worse yet- Making clones of them a trend. Unfortunately, that means playing them past the point where you realized they're a bad game. Back when I wanted to make games, I played bad ones far more than I played good ones so that I could understand the difference between actually good, and "Good because the game's popular this week."
    Then I quit gaming for years, because dreck like Dishonored, and Arkham Origins showed me that people don't care if a game's good or not, they'll just pretend to like what the popular kids say they like, regardless of what their honest opinion was, should you have been lucky enough to catch it before you got your weekly dose of everyone's still in High School.

    Didn't Honest Trailers have issues getting the PC version of Batman to work? They had to postpone that trailer for next week. Modders should be hired to fix the Batman PC Port. There are some games I refuse to buy on the Switch. I got Sonic Colors on the PS4 since it was a more stable version. No Man's Sky = One Man's Lie. I don't get why people got so hyped over a new IP that is not made by a big developer. Cyberpunk 2077 at least had high expectations after the Game of the year Witcher 3 so that was understandable. When I see a new IP I am usually a bit skeptical about it and look up reviews just to see if it's good. I did enjoy Ghost of Tsushima. HMK actually returned One Man's Lie after getting it for his PS4 Pro and AngryJoe was furious over it.

    You are wrong about Arkham Knight. They didnt resort to refunds. THEY WERE FORCE INTO REFUNDS. This is when Steam just barely announced their return policy. They had so many returns that they had to remove it from Steam entirely. They actually said they woudl fix things and to this day have not fixed it fully. You should also say that certain sites still gave it a high review (like PCgamer even though by their own scale it would be a 40% due to the bugs and video issues) even knowing of the issues which shows that they were paid by WB for their rating and not an actual review.
    Please stop promoting NMS. THEY LIED. They never apologized. He is Polyneux 2.0. It doesn't matter that he took YEARS to fix what was supposed to be promised from the beginning. Might as well promote Star Citizen every single list.
