  • Why has Rishi Sunak Called for Elections Now? | Vantage with Palki Sharma
British prime minister Rishi Sunak has announced snap elections amid growing discontent with his Conservative government. Though the party has ruled for 14 years, recent scandals and sluggish economic growth have made them unpopular. Opinion polls suggest a 20-point lead and a possible landslide win for the opposition Labour party. Sunak appears to have caught his allies and rivals by surprise as his partymen were hoping for an election towards the end of 2024. The prime minister has pitched himself as the man who led Britain through multiple crises, first as finance minister and then prime minister. Will British voters buy his complicated pitch? Or will they vote the Conservatives out? Palki Sharma tells you.

Speaking as a Brit we don’t actually want them to be fixated on other countries either. Why are we giving aid to a country with a space programme for example? I have a lot of respect for our Indian friends and getting your point of view but be careful about complaining too loudly on this subjects if you are self-interested! 😉

@@debarjundutta8912 Yeah yeah, here it comes. 😉 Except Britain’s wealth came about through trade and the Industrial Revolution and has been kept through banking and insurance. Yes a few families became very rich through plundering but in general the British empire was running at a loss at its hight as was pointed out by Adam Smith who also criticised the East India Company’s monopoly and mismanagement of India and the suffering that caused to Indian people. He proposed a commonwealth at the hight of the empire but he concluded that national pride would prevent any country voluntarily giving up her own empire! Helps to know the other side of this story about how evil we were supposed to be! Haha😜

Mr Sunak studied the economy, bought inflation down, but failed to stop the boats. Some accuse Conservatives as more of Labour! Anti incumbency factor will have disastrous consequences for Conservatives. The question is whether Labour has the leadership to grow the economy and stop the boats?

This is what Rishi as PM of UK did not want to understand even when citizens told him so.

While all the Africans are in the West, the cabal will bring in Chinese and Indians to Africa to do the jobs as these countries are overpopulated. Semi military gov.'s loyal to cabal will keep control there, whilst in the West, digital ID & money will control EVERYTHING! Such is the greed for power, control & money.
