Start at sundown and don’t eat again until after sunset the next day.

As much as you want, really. Especially during the summer.
Coffee can be acceptable if no sugar or milk is added. Drink it about an hour after waking.
If you get hungry… eat crackers. NOT QUICKLY.
As you go forward on days when you’re not fasting… don’t eat out of habit.
Eat when you’re hungry. Wait until stomach rumble’s REALLY irritate you. Otherwise, drink water.
Sips all day long.
