It's not the batteriies, iit's an actual hardware flaw. Changing out the batteries seems to help maybe 10% of people with this problem, and often the problem returns withiin weeks, or even days. Some people find thatt if thhey turn the keyboard off for a day, it fixes the problem for a few hours before it returns. It sounds like a current issue, and something thatt should have been addressed during product testting. I've given up and am just switching brands. Apparently logittech are not willing tto adddress thhe situation.
did you write it on g613? I heard that the problem with these are jumpers that have a microcrack and this could help with desoldering it and using leaded tin.
@@permrkuzi715 i have a g410 have same same problem its reallyy anoing sometimes it double click sometimes it doesnt eevven cclicck
I hhavee tthe samme probbllemm ttooo
I also have a g613 - brand new and double typing A, 2, and Tab right out of the gate. Apart from sometimes when it decides that it's had enough fun double typing the A key and decides to not register it at all. I might also be switching brands.
Yeah, it's not the batteries. Changed 3 pairs and still the samme issue. As you can see with these annnoying erroors...
Mine is a "wired" keyboard (G910), and it's doing the same thing. Can't change the batteries.
I have the same issue on a G513 too, can’t replace the batteries unfortunately…
it's dirty, i have pets and anytime it starts to double type, i just clean the key with a q-tip, always fixes it.
@@parham6676 Brand new and squeaky clean and I have this issue. Don't make assumptions, because...

My Logitech G810 started having double typing/missed keypresses about a year and a half ago. I can tell you with 100% certainty that it isn't a mechanical or physical issue at all. It's definitely some sort of software conflict happening. I say this because one day it will be working flawlessly, and the very next day it will suddenly be nearly impossible to type on, with many keys either not registering or typing 2 or 3 times at once. That problem will last for maybe a week or so and then suddenly the next day it will be back to typing flawlessly for possibly a month or two, and then one day the problem simply comes back full force all at once. Again it will last for a week or two, and then the problem completely disappears. The result though is that I had to replace the keyboard, and also, due to the lack of being able to find a solution and the commonality of seeing this problem discussed online... it has really affected my trust in Logitech products. I had for many years by default leaned towards Logitech for everything, as a brand I really had trust in. Now I find myself looking for anything other than Logitech.
I also have the G810 and it got the problem with double click and a LED that wouldn't emit blue light, Logitech gave me a G910 as replacement so i cleaned the G810 and put it back in it's box and forgot about it for a year or so.
Then the G910 got the double click problem and since i don't like it that much i got the G810 out again and hey presto it works like it should, even the broken LED is coming back to life. But after a year or so it's starting to act up again.
I'm pretty sure that it's related to static electricity, might be a combination of several things such as the desk mat i use and a dry climate.
@@FryNOR Interesting. Thank you for the feedback.
G910 does the same thing for me.
i find that getting frustrated enough to use my finger to hammer away at the affected key like a machine gun fixes the issue for a while.
i believe its the romaG switch itself as it does it with various logi kb's. after having several expensive products that just dont last im switching brands when i buy new peripherals now as even their software (logi hub or whatever its called) is shit.
When my G25 wheel broke many years ago all they would offer was a discount on a new wheel. i decided to take it apart and look for the problem because its going in the bin anyway.
it turned out to be a crack in the decoder wheel on a FFB motor that registers steering. some glue and a bit of heat shrink to reinforce it, and its been running fine ever since. It would literally cost maybe 10c to make that part.
ii hate to think how many G25's ended up in the bin due to such a simple part failing.
G810 keyboard here as well, it's about 4 yrs old, whhen the double pressing problem started. I tried soaking and cleaning the whole keyboard in isopropyl alcohol, problem was only temporary solved, but i agreed it comes and goes. Some days are 100% ok, wwhere as others it is terrible. Time to throw it inn the bin and buy a nnew keyboard.
@@RanDumTV unfortunately thats what i had to do too, ended up buying a steel series kb as im tired of overpriced logitech gear failing a year after warranty
The G513 wired keyboard does it too. I'm not buying another Logitech keyboard after I'm finally fed up enough to ditch it.
Logitech is cheap China garbage these days, you'd have better luck with a random keyboard off Walmart's shelves.
My G513 was purchased when they were first released and continues to work flawlessly. I'm not happy with the cheap keycaps, but have not experienced any missed or duplicated keystrokes. In fairness, I do not game that much and my kb has not been heavily abused.
Whatever is going on seems to be a wireless communication issue more than a physical switch issue.
It appears to be linked to the Roma-G keys used in these keyboards as even the cabled keyboards have this problem!
Can't agree u more.
I have three Logitech keyboards, 2 g613 and 1 g413, all of them have double click issue after 3-4 month used
🤯🤯🤯
All logitech keyboards have this problem. Changing the batteries on a wired keyboard doesn't fix the issue.
mine was fixed by removing battery and leave it for a couple of days or weeks. and when im using again all fixed.
I've got a G915 TKL and am having the same issue. Contacted Logitech support and they sent me a new one which not only has the same problem, but has it happening more than twice as often thaan the original. Happens at the same rate regardless of battery charge level too. Maybe the battery replacement works for the G613 but I think more than likely, there's a fundamental issue with Logitech's mechanicall switches (for reference, I've got the clicky version).
Note: the words "than" and "mechanical" are spelled wrong above and you know what, I am going to leave them there on purpose bbecause the double-typing literally occurred as I was typing about the typing issue, and I noticed just now that it happened yet again while I was typing this sentence. I've decided not to go back and manually correct Logitech's mistakes
Oh dude. I'm thinking to replace my claymore 2 to g915tkl because I prefer the low profile input feeling. But according to lot of comments out there seems like the double clicking problem occurs in such a high frequencies among the users. Anyway, reading this comment just having my claymore 2 maintained. Thanks anyway and hope you are not bothered by your keyboard for now.
Unfortunately friendo. Logitech has admitted its their switches they use in their keyboards and their mice. I gave gone thru a few G613's and G703's. They for some reason made choice to use inferior switches.
Its the g-romer switches...I have the g910 orion spark.....essentially they wear out...happened after 4 years of normal use and started across whole kbd...dowsed in ipa...helped for 3 months then happened again...only solution is a new keyboard sadly.
I had 2 G910 Orion's start double typing and having weird lag at the same time! Never buying Logitech ever again!
My G815 has the same problem and it has NO Battery
No, it is not the battery. The Logitech software has battery indicator. I used Duracell Optimum batteries as well as some others, and they all have same issue. Battery is at 90% and I'm having double click issue for half of the keys. This is a hardware issue, and the keyboard is going to the garbage.
This was typed on Logitech K613 Keyboard - "Well, I'm typing on this keyboard now andd dyouu can see the douuble clicks oon almost on all the keys, i did try to replacce tthe battteriies now but noo luuckk, I'm headiing oer ttoo my garbbage in tto dump thhs shit, Neer buy thiss such keyybooarrd again."
Now this sentence with my Mac keyboard - Logitech k613 actually sucks. From day one it started having issues and now it's a complete waste. A cheap manufacturer from china is able to design flawless keyboards and never expected such designs from a world-renewed company.
Same boat as you. I've had to proofread this sentence several times. Absolute disaster.
my g413 keyboard after almost 3 years of work use it started to double typing, its rly anoyng, i do not recommened at all
Thanks for the video! I also had the same issue and never thought of just changing the battery. There was no obvious sign that the battery needed to be changed on the keyboard.
It's not the battery is a hardware flaw!
If yours doing the double click, contact Logitech support immediately and ask for a new one, if your in the lucky 18 warranty months you're going to receive a new one!
Then just sell it...
romer-g switches just fucking suck. i've had two g413s and i love the look, feel, and sound of them. but these keys start chattering very quickly
After changing the batteries the issue is resolved for a few weeks and then its back. I mean by now i have tried everything and this shit just isnt fixable for longer term.
I've had this happen with a smaller Logitech keyboard that I paired with a Windows tablet, years ago. They really should implement a low battery indicator. Wait - they already did. Keys repeating to infinity = low battery.
😂😂😂
I had G613 too and less than a year before it double typing. I thought it was just Romer-G at fault, but then I'm seeing their high end keyboards (g815, g915) also have the same problem with their proprietary G switch. Just avoid Logitech keyboards at this point.
THANK YOU!!! Having already cleaned and lubed I was looking at dropping $200 on a 915. New batteries did the trick!
Hey guys! Just wanted to give you a quick tip: I had the same annoying double-clicking problem on the keyboard (specifically the "1" and "a" keys) and guess what? After cleaning the keyboard, apply plenty of contact cleaner spray to the switches and that's it, problem solved!
Good thing my keyboard is flawless still. Two years latee
resolder your switches
this has fixed it every time for me lol
whatt if theres no battery?
it's dirty, i have pets and anytime it starts to double type, i just clean the key with a q-tip, always fixes it.
tried every method for 4 years, finally fixed it by deleting the logitech software
even cable keyboard from logitech suffer withh thhis. i have 3 or 4 keys that doble click or dont click at all and it seams most likely its a software problem more then a hardware one. i replaced keys with new ones and they still do thhe same. its a shame that logitechh is putting 0 afford into hhelping people with this issiue
could you rate this monitor
Acer Nitro KG241Y M3 23.8 in FHD Gaming Monitor with AMD FreeSync Premium
channging bbatteries only helps for a few days theen it reesumes, sorry for the doublle typing its my g613 lol.
thankns for the videeo tho.
It can't be the battery. I've had this issue many times and I've changed the batteries just to be safe. I believe it's a software issue and restarting the keyboard a few times can fix it for a while. This is why changing the batteries feels like it fixes it. I would recommend uninstalling and reinstalling the G Hub and the drivers just to be safe. The issue seems to be, if I had to guess, about the wireless connection and signals. Bluetooth like all other wireless things uses waves and if you have a lot of radio waves in your room, they get tangled up sometimes. It's best to just restart the device a few times, even unplugging the dongle and replugging it. I surre as hell am not going to buy another LG keyboard again after this issue. Nothing is more frustrating than typing and noticing these double letters and having to constantly fix it. In games like Dota 2 it gets annoying because double tapping has a different use. Garbage product and LG should be ashamed of themselves.
the G910 keyboaarrd is doing thhee same now. Can you guys tell?
I can't handle this keyboard anymore. It was so eexpensive where I live. I'm gonna snap.
I'm having the same problem buut Logitech G Hub repports that the battery status is ""good". Does changing the batteries still helpps in this situation? (Notice the double letters in my comment)
i havve a loitech gg410 aaand theres no battery inside tthis keyyyboard and yea look at my text it double triple click some keyys and sometimes it doesnt even single cclick
it does help a little but even after getting a new one from logitech, same bs with the g613
OMG... You saved my keyboard from being brutally smashed into pieces... I've had this problem for a hole MONTH with the letters A, D, S, L, and THE SPACEBAR!!! I wanted to burn this thing, so THANK YOU💚
Dont buy romer g switch
glad that worked for you, not for me.
Jesus... I can't believe it's that simple! Thanks dude, I was going insane!!!
its not that simple i haave a batteryless g410 and have the saamme problem as you cacn see so this video is trash
tthis video is ALMOST clickbait. i replaced tthe batteries, and my comments are hhere drawn ouot so you cann seee what is happening despite doing the suggestted intervention. Tthe problem persists!
I have a G512 Carbon and it haves the same issue... I think it got something to do with their gx switches
I'll try the battery thing, but I've ONLY noticed this over my bluetooth connection (which I use for work). I'll try the battery switcharoo.
This is true got the G513. I'm on my 5th replacement.
i'm using a corsair k60 keyboard and it does it. it presses space twice a lot and the esc key twice. someetimees it even does it 3 times, oh and it just did it with my e key ffs ;-; this is my 2nd corsair k60 and my last one did it too with e, f, space and sometimes i. it's the most annoying crap
my keyboard is so laggy sometimes and it will quadruple type. i have been through 2 (i got one replaced by logitech). I would not recommend this keyboard.
there is no battery domeas!
I bought wired keyboard of Logitec, Logicool G910, still have that issue.
Nno NNo see the 2 NNNs it is drivinng me nuts. My loggitech keyboard is wired so the solution in this video doesn't apply
This video needs way more likes, for sure. Logitec replaced my keyboard for complaining about this issue while in warranty.
youre lucky, i have a G910 Orion Spectrum (i absolutely loved it) which is now practically unusable. it double types extremely often on nearly all keys. the others often dont recognize key strikes. it started one month out of warranty, therefore i got no help. the support guys were incredibly inpolite.
similar thing with my G502 mouses, they double click and stop while drag and drop just a little after warranty ending. its a shame. every cheap keyboard from 15 years ago still works fine but the "premium product" doesnt even last 3 years
evven on wired g413 its crazy.. This comment is not me beeing drunk or funnnny but onlyy the g4133 messing up...never agaiin.. Itss 1:46 foor me
I am sad because I have just now hit this issue and it's unbearable.
Yo why did they get rid of the thumbs down button?
Brotttther, ttrust t me, ittts not the battery. Both g502 and g910 do the same tthing, i knowww super annoying.
My G PRO TKL also double clicks. Hate it!
chattering fix fixes the problem, but then it's an issue with playing games...its one or the other
Eviten el G613 a toda costa, son pésimos pésimos al poco tiempo empiezan a dar doble pulsación o dejan de funcionar las teclas.
dude i have delt with this so much and i had to replace the keys this would have helped so much
also when we gonna do a apex 1v1!?
When I start playing Apex again.... 😉
@@MathewTheBest i was a pred in season 2 first ranked season on apex
yea...i have a full battery and it still happens
Thank you for the video! Now keyboard works again like it should be. 😄
And here I am with a wired Logitech keyboard that is starting to have this issue.
my LG keyboard G 513 has no battery at all and it is still double typing, not good , i think buy another brand is a better solution
Thank you I'll make sure to change the batteries on my wired Logitech keyboard
It actually fixed my problem!!! :)
Also a good quality video, Helpful and short.
How many years have you had the keyboard?
@@YasserButt about 5/6 years
Mouse and keyboard from Logitech having the same issue, and they are wired. Not a battery issue but something to do with Logitech's crap software. Tried all the fixes mentioned in reddit & google I could find. Nothing helps, worst is the double clicking mouse, try to pause something but just full screens, or try to click a file to drag and it just opens it, click on a text box or trade window in game to close, end up attacking the npc/human I am talking to. It's super random when it happens too, 0 issues as I type this comment but minutes ago could barely type in google search.

actually, if you change your wireless reporting rate on your g613 from 1000 to 500 fixx the doublecliking issue... then change the bateries to AAAA batteries.
trying this now, thx!
It could also be the rebooting the keyboard which comes with removing the drained battery or both.

My G910 Orion Spark started doing that after 10 years. First in the NUMERIC PAD and now in keys. I am starting to think that it is an OS issue, that started after Windows 10.
Its not the OS, its an Hardware designflaw mine and every other 910 has double typing issues. Was my last Logitech Keyboard

THIS KEYBOARD SUCKS SO MUCH, SRSLY! I'm not a fan of alkaline batteries and rechargable AA Batteries have that issue back again within minutes. Even fresh bought ones. Only solution i can think of is hardware modding the keyboard with a powercable, which kinda defeats it's purpose of existence.
helppful, thanks!
