Apparently, this was due to David Bowie being casted late into production and the Lord Royal Highness character was written without a specific voice actor in mind.

Two things about David Bowie: Both were played by royalty, and they both had two colored eyes. If you seen Labyrinth with him as Jareth, you'll know what I mean.
Kim McFarland Bowie will forever be legendary in our hearts. Screw the cringy pop artists of today. If people prefer their music instead of his, then what is wrong with them?
I knew long ago Bowie had pretty eyes that a different colors, and it still baffles me how i didn even notice til that time.

david bowie didn’t have two different colored eyes, when he was younger he got into a fight that injured his eye, and his pupil became permanently dilated, making it look like it was another color

I remember watching Atlantis Squarepantis when it first aired. I loved it back then and I even love it now as a fun "shut your brain off" musical. This special was rather funny to watch on the DVD, especially with all the gags with the narrator.

It’s not that he hated working on the episode (though I assume he did), he just doesn’t like it in general
@@Kemdizzle. TV movies tend to be a mess and extra stressful as they are made a part of a season where they have like 30 other episodes to do + it probably had a very tight TV episode budget. I'm going to assume like you did that it probably sucked to work on. There's a reason not many animated shows do TV movies these days.
