  • Behind the Scenes Video of my light show on Candy Cane Lane. All LED lights, about 5000 individual LED bulbs used in display. 32 Channels, with 4 RGB Flood Lights.The strobes are Zeon bulbs. This is my first year doing a light show. RGB hardware is from www.HolidayCoro.com
    For those wondering how I control the show from my iPad, I use an App called LogMeIn, which lets me snap into my computer, and control it as if I was sitting in front of it. Really handy when in the front yard, and needing to test channels, or queue up a sequence.

    Thanks for helping us connect all the loose ends. Much appreciated. I would have liked to get some info on the $$ for the main components.

      It really depends. LOR Controllers I got the kits on sale and assembled them myself, so about $150 per.

    I Love The Santa Charecter but where did you get the rope light and I know you zip tied the lights on to a pvc pipe frame

    • @EdwardCzajka
      @EdwardCzajka  Před 3 lety

      Rope light was from the hardware store, Christmas section.

    Not a direct connection. I use an app called LogMeIn to remote into my light show PC. Install the LogMeIn program on your PC, free version is all I use. It will give you a mouse and keyboard interface to do whatever you need to do. I wish I could create sequences on a dedicated app, but that is not available.

    So I am looking into getting a light o Rama this year, and I was wondering if you can set all the channels on (like not dancing, just solid on) and then when the specific show time starts, they turn off and then your programmed sequences run. Then when the show stops, the lights go back to normal like how they would without a show running. Is this possible?

      Yes, Setup a non music sequence with all channels on (Static Mode). Add that sequence to your playlist.

    Any tips on making that tune in sign. I made one but it looks really janky. What did you use?

    Great job! Can you share some information on your RGB flood lights you built. What LEDs did you use? Strip LEDs? or something else.

    • @EdwardCzajka
      @EdwardCzajka  Před 9 lety

      I used a RGB kit from Holiday Coro. It comes with dumb RGB nodes, and a controller. Here is the link with parts and info: www.holidaycoro.com/RGB-Flood-Light-p/163.htm

      For the eves by the garage, it is so narrow, I just use a long strip of RGB dumb LEDs, and that makes for an effective flood light, but I use an actual flood ligh for the larger areas. My stripes under the eves are not on this video, but now I have the 3 floods, and 3 zones covered by RGB stripes to wall wash, so I have 6 color zones now.

    I use an app called LogMeIn. It's free to use for basic control of your PC/Mac, like you were sitting in front of it.

    Nice video, I see that im about 3 years late, LOL. So I hope that you still check your messages. Where did you purchase your RGB floods? LOR is out of stock and the lights that ive seen on Ebay don't have the black ground wire so im not sure if they would be compatible with the LOR board. Thanks, Carmen.

      I use an FM Transmitter, so people tune their radio in their car and hear the music.

    • @EdwardCzajka

      Marco D'Andrea Not a problem here, but a portable radio would also work. I usually sit outside and hand out candy canes, and keep a small radio on me to monitor the show.
