Right on Andrew! Welcome to the channel. No one guessed what's in the box correctly before I opened the box. You were the closest though. It was a proboat "sonic wake" 36' deep V speed boat.
The C front hubs are on the wrong side. Left is Right and right is left. Steering stops on the back side of the axle. You have the truck with negative caster the way you have it set up now.
The first batch of treal hubs have been engraved/labeled wrong. As Jim says the stop should be on the back side ignore the left and right markings on them..

I got rid of my Losi LMT about a month after I bought it. I hated that truck! I sold it and bought a truck that I could play with and not break from just dropping it onto the ground. I bought a 2nd Tekno mt-410 with the money I got from selling the Losi. But the bearing tool could be useful in other situations. I mean the Losi LMT's are ok if you put treal axels on them and stuff but for that amount of money I built a Tekno with all the m2c aftermarket goodies Installed.
I'm not 100% for sure paul. If you have Facebook maybe you could take a small video and show me what it looks like and stuff and maybe I could diagnose it
Half of an inch is a lot it almost sounds like you forgot something. Like a bushing or a bearing check inside of your original axle pieces and make sure there isn't something left inside of there that should have been switched over to the new aluminum ones. I actually sold my Losi lmd so I don't have one to compare it to anymore but I'm pretty good at diagnosing if I had a video
