  • To end off the season, Jesse, Danny and Kenny Johnston (president of the Polar Bear Riders Snowmobile Club) ride through the backcountry of Cochrane, ON. They start off by trail riding around Cochrane on the L109 and L101 (the Genier Loop), and then head to Flood Landing for a delicious breakfast. After that, they ride bush trails and lakes/rivers to the Greenwater Pit Stop on TOP A 40 kms west of town. From there they ride to the Calhoun Fire Tower, a scenic outlook on the L105, and then back to Cochrane to end another season of sledding!

    nice work. I think a few people commented on the video, you are a great spokes person, and nice commentary of your surroundings. Nice bit of km's for the season. Too fast for my liking, LOL. Could ride all day for me without ever feeling it, just love it and been doing it 40 years. Keep up the good work, honesty and integrity come to mind with your style!

    Hey Jesse & Mike, just wanted to say I appreciate all of the video's you two have put out this year. I like the honesty and pure love for snowmobiling you both bring to your video's. I purchased my 2022 Renegade Xrs 850 based on your feedback and not once during my 2750 km's did I ever regret it. I will go one more season with her and then hopefully Ski-Doo comes out with the Gen 5 4 stoke in 2024 and will get the Renegade Xrs 900 turbo for some long haul sledding. The trips you guy's have taken us on have been spectacular to say the least. Keep you the great video's and enjoy your summer!

      Hey Don! Hearing things like this makes me so happy. I am glad we are able to provide good content and advice you can trust. Of course you are enjoying ur xrs 850 - it's an absolute weapon! And yes, my money is on the 900 being in the gen5 for 2024. So happy you enjoyed our ride videos and where we traveled this season - we are trying our best to bring some new content to the channel. Have a good summer as well brother! Cheers, Jesse

    Everyone I know that really does a lot of Riding had given up on the studs stuff! Too many heat exchangers poked,my Buddies Yamaha took out more than just his heat exchangers 🤔🤔I know the ice rippers aren't the same as far as grip but my ice Ripper is going on season 4 and is still in beautiful condition!! Almost 5000 miles on it! And it's nice knowing I'm not going to throw a stud or tear something up.... Love your videos and with the conditions you guys run in I can't see you needing more than an ice Ripper 🤔🤔🤔

    • @sledaddicz
      @sledaddicz  Před rokem

      Hey buddy! So... after riding with studs all my life, I have never once had a stud pull through. At the end of last season it was my first, but the stud didn't actually rip thru, it ripped a full chunk off the track. The backers I use make a pull through almost impossible. 13,000 kms on that track when the clip ripped, and it was end of season really icy and hard riding. I could never own a sled without studs but thats just me. Cheers, Jesse

    I have seen all your video's this season.
    You explain it very well when you say it's a sad thing when the season comes to an end. There are many times when you are out in the woods and you sort of become part of the wilderness. Its so beautiful. All the best to you boys and I will be looking forward to seeing what you post during the summer. (I always wonder what you are enjoying at the breakfast table when its way cold out) All the best Jesse.

      Hey Ray! Wow glad you are enjoying the videos and thanks so much for supporting the channel! It means a lot. Not to dissapoint but we don't really post much during the summer just because guys aren't really interested. We tried last summer with some gear reviews and even a fishing video and we actually lost subscribers. That being said, we have 6 more videos we are releasing over the next few weeks until the end of April to end of the season! Have a great summer brother. Cheers, Jesse

    So Awesome! Thanks for the Vid! Cochrane is my home town. I grew up on the Genier Loop. Dan The groomer man is my relative. So good to see the trails again. Your dad is right about the old trails. Going from one buddys camp to another on single track trails. Thats how we mostly rode before the OFSC came along. I now live and work 3 and 4 provinces west but I just snowcheked a sled for next year and hoping to take it out there and finally check out Floods landings menu. I`ve never been. Was great to see Calhoun Fire tower. My Brothers took me up there in March 2020. Thanks again. Cochrane is a big part of me. I`m very grateful for your Videos. Have a great summer . I`m looking forward to your adventures next year. PS , Your dad is a BadAss rider!! Cheers

    Wanted to ask what happened to your track? I was thinking of running that backer and stud setup for less chance of pullout but now I'm not sure.Did you get hooked up on a stump or rock?

    • @sledaddicz
      @sledaddicz  Před 2 lety +1

      Definitely still the best setup to go to. I just redid my new track with the exact same setup. It was a fluke. In 30,000 kms with this setup I have never had that happen. It wasn't a pull out. The stud must have caught a stump and the studs/backers are so strong it ripped the track. Any other stud/backer combo the stud would have pulled through and thrown a hole in the heat exchanger. Cheers, Jesse
