- Mike, Jesse and the whole Sledaddicz Crew (Andrew, Kostia and Jeff) head out to start their annual saddlebag trip in Quebec. They launch at the Quality Inn in New Liskeard, and ride across Lake Temiskaming right into Quebec. From the border they head up trail 83, and stop for a quick lunch in Moffet. After lunch its straight up trail 309, with a gas stop in Malarctic, and then into Amos to the Amosphere Motel. A superb 380 kms to get everyone pumped up for what is ahead!

Great video guys!
Thanks bud! Glad you enjoyed it! Cheers, Jesse
Nothing like spring snow! 😊💪🏻👍🏻
You are right Jamie! There ain't anything like it! How was your season? Cheers, Jesse
It was great to bump into you guys on the trail. Got the MachZ all fixed up and yes...I was lucky! Parts were in quickly and it was only plastic bits that were broken! She now looks like it never happened. I'm off to a Eastern Quebec trip Sunday for a 5 day trip! Mission it to help her out of the trees! Hope to see you boys again soon! Keep the vids coming! Cheers!
Steve! You were definitely lucky and could have been much worse. Glad to hear she's all fixed up and great to meet you too! Enjoy Quebec and keep her out of the trees!!! Cheers, Mike
It was awesome meeting you guys up there, steve’s sled is back together now. Leaving for a trip again to Quebec on Sunday!
Glad to hear it and great meeting you guys too! Keep it out of the rhubarb boys! 🤣 Cheers, Mike
Awesome video! My dad and I did a similar trip a few weeks earlier and we actually stayed in the same hotel and same room as you did at the start of the video.
Thanks Will! We've been staying there for years. Great spot and lots of options from NL. Mike
It's the TX skis, run the regular Pilot X with Bergstrom Triple points and you will love it. Trails look amazing. Thanks for the content.
Hey MM. We both do run Pilot X with bergstroms. They are the way to go. Thanks for supporting us and glad you are enjoying the content. Cheers, Jesse
Amosphere is awesome. Love the heated garage
Hey Bryan. That place is awesome! The heated garage is definitely sweet. Cheers, Jesse
Love these videos. How about a video describing what you need to bring for one of these trips? How much oil is needed per 500 km, clothes, money, tools, etc. I want to plan a trip for next season , and these tips would be very helpful.. Keep up the good work.
Thanks so much for watching and great suggestion. We will add it to our content plan as we finish up the year. Cheers, Mike
Awesome videos! I can't get over how smooth those trail look. I've always heard that the trails in Quebec are so well marked that you have no need for any GPS?
Haha yep not a single mogul in 1600 kms. They are very well marked but I always like to have a GPS, especially when doing a multi-day trip. Cheers, Jesse
You guys should have checked out the mine in malarctic pretty cool.
I saw the mine in the distance when exiting the trail onto the street. Didn't know how to access it. Cheers, Jesse
I used to pass that Quality inn on my sled every day on my way to work.
Awesome! Such a small world. Great place to stay. I'm jealous you could sled to work!! Cheers, Jesse
Were you or your dad out in midland 2 weekends ago? I saw the VR1 parked out front of the boathouse and it was covered in sled addics stickers parked right beside our sleds.
Hey Dylan! Neither Mike or I were there but my dad was! He road with some of his buddies from Orillia. Cheers, Jesse
@@sledaddicz ah very nice, hope to get to meet you guys out there sometime. Have a good night!
@@dylandavies3634 you as well brother! Hopefully we bump into each other at some point. Cheers, Jesse
In terms of the BRP go on the big screen I find of you download the ride b4 hand and don’t disconnect your phone from the cord you will have constant navigation. All you have to do is accept the offline message once on the creen and all good!!
My sled is 2022 Xrs 850
Hey Chris. That's right. I do the same thing and it works 90% of the time. But I have also had it say application unavailable mid ride after doing all that you said. BRP needs to improve the app at the end of the day. They need to make it more user friendly. Cheers, Jesse
Rookie!!! lol
Hahaha everyone misses a corner at some point lol. Cheers, Jesse
I would love to do a trip like this. What would be the best way to get rid of darting on a 2022 backcountry it's darts bad on a fresh groom trails
Switch up those carbides. If you are just running singles, they dart. Add one to the outside of the ski or opt for a set of Bergstroms if you are going to be doing lots of trail riding. Cheers, Mike
Study boy 6" shaper bars. Loosen the limiter strap one hole and tighten down the preload a few rotations on your centre shock. Your sled will have less ski pressure and you may have to be off the gas a bit more in the corners but you shouldn't dart near as much. And you'll be able to lift the skis easier for fun
Thats how I fixed this same issue on my backcountry
Try a fish finder screen, the units accept memory cards.
Hey Ken. Good idea. Mike has a couple Garmin fish finders for his boat but we both have Garmin GPS's so we don't really have the need for the fish finder on the sled. Cheers, Jesse
What are you using for hand gauntlets
Check out our video on hand muffs vs handguards. Cheers, Jesse
Which garmin and maps you using?
We are using Garmin Zumo 590s and Trakmaps for mapping. Mike
Whats the speed limit on the Quebec trails?
70km/h unless posted
Jason is correct. Cheers, Jesse
Allô guy s you can warmup in rapide 7 the have a restaurant and gas after thé bridge you Turner right for 1 km
Hey Daniel! Good to know!! Thought it was funny that there were tons of signs and didn't see any civilization. They should put up a sign at that corner saying gas and food is available! Cheers, Jesse
Didn't this place burn down a couple winters ago???
@@chrism4351 not to my knowledge
HI Jesse I two use the oxegen helmet jut, love is myprzoblemisIwear glasses so have to keep visor open cracking till you I get aboce60miles per hour. A.sodo your u use ear muffs that came with helmet. Christopher Ottawa by way grounded till Polaris come up with fix for my 2022 XCR
Hey Chris. Don't worry about the polaris recall. As long as you summarize your sled with a full tank of gas you won't have a problem. Definitely do the recall when it is available but don't hold off on riding if it doesn't come in time. I certainly won't be. Cheers, Jesse
Are you at the quality inn at the start if you think I'm stalking you im not i live in New liskeard
Yes we are! It's great starting from that spot and easy and quick to get over to Quebec. Mike
Hey we passed you an your gang on the A108 Thursday not one of you guys used any hand signals (rookie move sledicks)
Hey Kelly. Definitely wasn't us. Haven't been on the A108 this season. And all of us always use hand signals. When you decide to make an accusation make sure you know what your talking about..
Hand signals are useless. A little dangerous with people struggling to signal. One should always expect a next sled. So you get a last sled signal. Is that permission to ride faster and expect no sleds? I’d rather people keep their hands on their bars. Funny when you get a last sled signal and there are 4 people behind that rider they are unaware of
Seriously Paul. If you “struggle “to signal you shouldn’t be on the trail in the first place. Further more according to YOU the ofsc has had it all wrong for the past 40 yrs 🧐
Grab a brain the fist chance you get
@@kellyreed248 You can’t discuss something without being insulting?
I misspoke. Of course I signal
Not to be a Karen but, I was shocked at how you pretty much were on the left side of the trail or middle for most of this video, one way trail or something Im missing?
Hey Steven. If I was ever in the center or to the left of the center it was because Mike was in front of me and we were on the comms. I.e. I get a heads up if there is a hazard or any oncoming sleds. However, that is not an excuse. I always ride on the right side however it just so happens that many of the clips where I am talking (that end up in the video) I happen to be closer to the center. Cheers, Jesse
BRP Go is just not worth it neither are these new expensive fancy guages. Stand alone GPS is essential on a Ski Doo.
Don't totally agree. They are both actually great if you enjoy the technology but the problem with BRP GO is you need connectivity for it to work properly via cell signal. I love the gauges - just dislike the position of them. Mike
I’m not a fan of my TS skis, only have one option for carbites sucks
Try woodys Navigators. Navigators stops the darting. They also make a 7 inch carbide for the TS ski too.
Hey Jason! I agree. I ran Pilot TS for two years and am not a huge fan. The regular Pilot or now the Pilot X skis are far superior. Our carbide of choice is the Bergstrom triple points. They make our 850s and our Mach Z handle awesome! Cheers, Jesse
I ride a Yamaha. Am I allowed to subscribe??😂
Of course!! We love all makes and models. A sledder is a sledder no matter what he rides! Cheers, Jesse
