My family has never been good with letting our feelings show. This year for fathers day I went against the grain I posted this song as my fathers day post on Facebook for my dad. We may not be great with putting our feelings into words, but we sure do love our music. Two days later for my birthday my dad posted "My Little Girl" by Tim McGraw on my timeline. Might seem like nothing to some people. But to me it meant everything. 😍

I always wanted to have a relationship like this with my Daddy and then come to find out that at 55 my Daddy isn't my Daddy. I always wished that he drank or did drugs because then I would have an excuse for the beatings and the physical and mental and verbal abuse!! Now I know why he hates me so and showed me it!! I've always been introduced to people as "The other daughter" and now I know why. He told me 2 years ago that my family is from Kentucky. I probably won't ever be able to do an ancestry DNA test because I'm terminally ill and barely make enough to pay my bills I most months go without food for one week a month but I'm ok to die now knowing this!! I just wish I would have known this before my Momma died so I could have asked her questions!!

I know as a teenager we tend to lash out at parents. But as they age, they won't feel like that anymore. When I turned about 17-18 I hit this maturatity level that I can't explain, I valued, and looked at my parents in a whole new, and different way. A good way. I realized that life is wayy too short to treat your parents like dirt, because one day you guys won't be here to guide us, teach us, catch us when we fall ect. And they'll wish like hell they did. My dad lost his battle with dementia here on earth, he went on to be with Jesus on September 14th 2020.I miss my dad so much so much that my heart is breaking, I spent every day at mom and dads, I thank God for giving me the opportunity to be able to be there for both my parents, we found out that my mom has stage 4 breast cancer, so I pray that God takes that cancer and throw it in the ocean and bless my mom with feeling good again. my heart would break into if I lost my mom, I don’t think I would make it thru another parents passing, I am super close with both parents, I moved in a house just 1 mile from their house in 2013 so I could take care of them! Thank you God for all your blessings & helping me get thru the loss of my daddy

In the last 4 years my mother has been diagnosed with cancer twice (first time was stage 3 breast cancer and second was stage 4 brain cancer) and times have been hard. But my dad has been my brothers, my mother and my rock through it all.

This song is my daddy with my sister and I. My sister died tragically in a car wreck 15 years ago at age 29. She left behind 2 boys ages 9 and 5. Their daddy died 7 years later at age 48 from lung cancer. My sweet daddy who helped raise them died form covid 22 days ago. My heart is still hurting so bad but I know he’s in Heaven with my sister and brother in law.

I used to be daddys little girl. We grew apart as I grew older (im only 12 btw). We just started getting close, he went to Arizona to coach a baseball game for my brother. He got Covid-19, I won't be able to see him for a very long time. I miss him already and I saw him yesterday. He has taught me so much and shown me what I deserve in life. He is my everything I already lost him once when I was about 9/10, we grew apart even though we live together. I miss being his everything and his princess. I miss him so much. The doctors said that its really a 50/50 (if he survives covid or not). He already has some health issues that I don't want to get into. I miss him so much I miss seeing him happy. After his mom passed in 2016 he hasn't been is true normal self. He used to be an alcoholic, hes past that now but this is just all so much for me. I miss seeing him everyday hanging out with him, going to baseball games. I miss seeing him so happy. I miss being daddys little girl/princess.
I hope and pray your dad is okay. If he is, the best thing you can do is tell him you miss him and you need him. Believe me dad's need to hear it.

The first month is always the hardest and so will be the first everything, holiday bday and ect. I'm 22 and I lost mine 9 months ago and it has been the hardest year I've ever had in my life. It's not easy but you can do it. It makes you stronger in a way. Hang in there ❤
