They are fantastic bikes. I have one of the first 300 Boxer Cup Replicas made from new and I can honestly say, it's the most forgiving and fun bike I've ever had. For me there will never be a "next bike" because I doubt if I'd find anything as good as my Randy Mamola beemer. I've fitted Laser exhausts and I think they sound as good as the Remus. The only other upgrade are Ohlins front and back. It's great to hear that other people like this bike too.
Great video 👍 I’m currently looking to buy a R1100s and really looking forward to giving the boxer engine a good thrashing. Absolutely love the look of this bike.
Oh lovely....Just lovely: a beautiful Beemer, with a set of nuclear power station cooling towers in the background, for your smile, that's (ir)radiating, after a good ride.
I’m lucky enough to own a 2003 Randy Mamola R1100S. It came fitted with a beautiful set of Staintune mufflers which look and sound magnificent. How many Randy Mamola Boxer Cup Edition bikes were produced? I’d love to know if you can tell me. Cheers great video 😊👍
How many BCR’s? Good question. Over my 17 yrs of ownership I have often wondered and never seen a definitive answer. There are 3 or 4 versions of the BCR. Mine being the Randy Manola, single spark. Someone suggested there were 1100 of them? But can’t be sure? Not sure even BMW knows exactly 😂
I've got an 03 and have the chance of buying a Remus twin can. The seller says there are no markings so I'm keen to understand the MOT status - I also ride a lot in Wales where the police are more likely to pull motorcyclists over and if you're served a rectification notice, can't refit as it'll be 3 points if pulled over again. Any help appreciated 😊
I have had got through 15 plus MOT’s. These are us pipes are not out over loud. In fact in 2013 I did a track day at Oulton park and it passed quite a stringent db test. It’s more a burble than a roar. I believe exhausts that say Not for road use are the problem. I have never heard of any boxer cup owner having a problem with excessive noise.
Ive been looking at getting an R1200S and someone recommended I get the R1100S instead. What can you tell me about the real world differences between the two?
Hi Robert, Can only speak about the R1100s, a lovely bike that gets my heart racing when I look at it! My other bike is a 1200GSA. I'm tall and both suit the tall rider. I would love a R1200s, beginning to have a cult following due to only having short production run. I kick myself for getting a HP2 when they were affordable. Going back to your original question, perhaps if mine wasn't the Boxercup, I would probably upgrade to the R1200s ( Red and Silver )
the boxercup is absolutely lovely and I would love to have either that or an HP2.The R1200S will really suit my needs I think. It isn't as intense as an S1000RR and it has hard cases and a shaft drive. I want to do Sport Touring but I ride every day once its above freezing and I would like something Sporty.
The R1200S is more of a sportbike than the 1100 and loses a lot of the practicality, it has about 15% more power and is a bit more nimble but I much prefer the R1100S mine is non boxer cup but has the remus pipes and the BCR suspension, great bikes only real fault is a bit vibey over 5k.

I am in love with this bike!!!!👌👍❤
Thanks you for your efforts filming that sound. What a sound! I’m sure it’s better in real life. Kudos
Awesome. A future classic.
Dream bike ! Thank you for sharing & cheers !
Amazing sound

yes nice sound
the sound of the old 2 valve boxer engine with emission Euro 1 or 2 is so much nicer, i had a R1100S followed by a R1200S and now a R1200RS....
Well it’s a 4 valve per cylinder engine so there’s that...
I have same model 180 thousand km
I have one with 107k miles too! Amazing machines.
I’ve just bought it with 6k km! 1999 r1100s, from japan…
Wow...!!!
Beatyfull sound. Where can I get one of that. Thanks.
soundがcool

Dammit, I can’t find an aftermarket exhaust for my r1100s here in Greece. Nice sound btw!
You cant find them anywhere in the world.

That's a pretty ride. Anyone recognize what town that is?

thanks, I ended up putting a down payment on a new 701 Vitpilen. I cannot wait for it to get here.
The 1200 is like an 11 on caffeine. I rode both and personally recommended living with the 11 more.
People who have been to war will be ducking for cover lol
Kat still inside?
AeffchenSkill .,No it has been removed with the original Exhaust.
@@bigalex7942 I have the same exhaust system on the same bike but I am not allowed to remove the kat...sounds amazing on yours!
that will scare children, old women, and village pond ducks...and me
