He deserves better!
Bro looks like a devil, prays to some blood god, sacrificed thousands of innocents for his blood god, and we need to apology? Yeah Miquella charm him, but the charms goes out of control couse Mogh is a maniac psychopath…

The lore isn't straight forward.
One thing is for certain, most people who follow Miquella AREN'T compelled, and two we know, Needle Knight Leda and Dryleaf Dane, were literally compelled, not because they weren't loyal, they already were, but because they were SO FANATICALLY LOYAL, THEY KEPT KILLING EVERYONE WHO WASn'T INSANELY LOYAL TO MIQUELLA.
He charmed them to stop them killing random people and each other, It was never about compelling loyalty, it was always about making a gentler world.
What a sad world we live in, where someone is so selfless they literally give up their selflessness itself to help the world, aswell as everything else, but because he's wielding love and kisses, instead of chopping peopels heads off with a big fucking sword, it's suddenly "OH HES THE MOST EVIL CHAR IN ELDEN RING" have some nuance.
Oh just FYI, Radahn didn't wanna consort with Miquella, not because he wasn't attracted to him, but literally because Radahn wants war and conflict, because he is a naturally powerful demi god that enjoys throwing around that power, that is it, completely, and so a world of peace would mean he couldn't justifiably be slaughtering people and warring left and right, but aw Miquella wanting to stop him is the asshole because he likes his horse, yeah guess what, Miquella likes leonard too and everyone else, mob mentality idiots, jesus.
I think it just tells us that we associate beauty with morality sadly… Mogh a devilish being was manipulated and blamed while Angelic looking Mequila was worshiped and looked up upon

Tbh Mohg would be more powerful than Morgott because he truly embraces his omen form, while morgott is Ashamed of it.
Being the Avatar for an Outer God also helps
But when they die you can see Mohg remains cursed and Morgott has his curse removed due to his service to the erdtree thus Morgott can be reborn

Mohg doesn’t really do anything significant to warrant him being more powerful than Morgott. Morgott has experience in fighting Tarnished and even Radahn at one point while Mohg has gained his blood powers but hasn’t even used them against anyone strong. All Mohg has done is steal Miquella without detection and converting subjects to his side.
The sheer hope that Miquella’s mission in the Haligtree had. How he wanted to not only free the Lands Between from the Outer Gods, but also create a home for the rejected minorities of the world…
Miquella tried to solve the 2 biggest issues in the Lands Between: The domination of the Outer Gods, and the oppression of those spurned by the Golden Order, yet all of that was utterly ruined by Mohg stealing him away.
Mohg is evil on a level that Fromsoft has never shown before, not even Pontiff Sulyvahn is as bad because at the very least, he ruined a society in a doomed world.
Mohg destroyed what could’ve been the Lands Between’s greatest savior, and a home for people LIKE HIM, oppressed by the Golden Order.
Thus, I think it’s fitting that we can not only completely ruin Mohg’s plans, but also spare Miquella (Gideon says that Miquella is only slumbering in the cocoon, and a cut quest outright confirms that Miquella is still alive.)
Maybe, just maybe in future dlc, we can undo the damage Mohg’s done and help Miquella realize his noble dream.

the bewitching branch description got me overthinking
Lol Miquella is literally the Antichrist adjacent. He wants to “perfect the golden order” in sort of a way to create a utopian society. It also doesn’t sit right with me that he’s meant to be loved by everyone, another antichrist trait. I associated the Golden Order with the Illuminati immediately. They have entire control over peoples fates, the two fingers predetermine life for just about everyone up to the gods. To perfect that is to solidify the intent in which things can be perfect. Which is not how life works. Also, there is a quote by my favorite singer Jhene Aiko “if everything is dipped in gold, then baby it will never grow”. I feel perfecting the Golden Order will seal the fates of the world. A way that things will never progress organically.
In this reasoning I chose Ranni’s ending, which reminds me more of how Jesus died and ascended to deal with the worlds burdens on his own. It’s the way Ranni wants to take the worlds powers and sail away by herself on the dark moon. She wants the influence of gods to be far away, barely within reach. It’s the way we live life today with free will, with only faith to determine whether or not we believe in a higher being. And I feel Ranni believes heavily in our free will, killing her own two fingers as to prevent her from being controlled by them. And how she wants to watch from afar, like God, letting us decide for ourselves. Hence being “in the dark”, for we are blind to the future.
It literally shouldn’t sit right with you morally that even Malenia says “he is the most fearsome empyrean of them all”. People with power never do what’s right with it

Does the whole Miquella thing disturb me? Yes.
Do I take joy in putting down this madman? Yes.
But Mohg's design, boss theme, and the fight itself are fantastic, and he is one of my favorite bosses to fight in this game.

Tbh he is one of my favorite bosses in terms of looks and lore, which is confusing kinds but I just like Mohg
I work as a janitor, so ever since I’ve fought Mohg, now whenever I reach for any item on a higher shelf, I put my palm up and slowly begin reaching for the item and I then I give a raspy whisper: “Dearest Miquella...”
And when I put the item back: “You must abide alone awhile...”
Me: I'm taking miquella back, back to the family and sister that loved him

In olden times in the real world, brothers and sisters married for the sake of preserving the kingdom and power. Which is what i see here with Mogh and Miq. Especially since they are half brothers.
@@Saiege The ick factor here is mainly the fact that A) Miquella is cursed with eternal youth in the body of a child, which adds that "ugh" factor, and B) the lore from items related to Mogh all but confirm that any relationship between the two was not consensual on Miquella's side.

The sadness factor is definitely there when it comes to Mohg. I always thought about how Mohg met the formless mother and how in the description of his trident it says she requires wounds. He was alone in his prison underground when he met her. What if Mohgwyn in his desperation tried to commit suicide as he slit his wrist to finally end his misery but instead his blood bursted into flames and he made his first communion with the formless mother. Miquella with all his kindness tried to always be a comfort to anybody including Mohg, so later he in his obsessive insanity pledges himself to Miquella as his knight to the point of kidnaping him. There was also a speculation that the formless mother isn't really an outer god but it's actually a figment of Mohg's imagination, a metaphore for self harm thats why Miquella can never become a vessel for the fomless mother because she isn't actually real. All the powers Mohg gained like his wings and blood magic all come from his omen curse and the delusions he succumbed to...

-Get mohgs shackle beneath leyndell
-at his boss entrance walk as close as you can to the yellow mist with out traversing threw
-use the shackle 3 times back to back
- his ai should freeze and you can hit him 2-4 times with out him responding
If you hit him more or with a ash of ear he’ll wake up and start fighting

Tgere is a far easier way, just grab Magic boosting Tear and Cerulean Hidden Tear for Infinite Mana, and get Comet Azur, then start blasting.
But as we all know, cheesing a boss is a virgin maidenless behavior (and that maidenless wants a maiden).
That, or use two Occult Scavenger Swords with Seppuku

@@doublelizard767 no not technically u only fight him twice and u really have to look for him to stumble upon him and explore a lot he’s not a common enemy at all move set is like nothing we’ve ever seen before in any souls games so no not generic at all
@@_xsarmiento17 I'm talking about Mohg before the game released. He isn't named "Mohg" in the files and it loads in Raya Lucaria, for example, so Mohg at one point didn't even exist, and the model was used for a generic enemy.

What if Miquela didn get kidnapped, but instead turned to Mohg, so that Mohg would conduct a blood experiment of transforming Miquela into a True God. Thats why Malenia waited, because she knew that it was his will.
And reason why Miquela didnt answer to Mohg while in the cocoon could be that he was unconscious. The cocoon resemble a womb, since it stands on bone that looks a bit like a pelvis.
Since Miquela aspired to be god to all beings equally, the only logical solution would be that he wanted the blood of every specie.
And since Mohg, Miquela and others are a part of a Pantheon, they arent exactly human in their nature, and rules of sex and gender don't apply as they would otherwise, not to mention that to immortal time is not a dimension, so older, younger, doesnt play a role as much either.
And maybe Miquella brainwashed Mohg into doing that and made him battle the player

Alright lemme explain... Mohg had no actual interest in Miquella... At the beginning. He just wanted to nurture Miquella into a full God so Mohg could manipulate him to become a god himself. But he had Miquella for so long, that he grew attached to him because he knew he held the power to become a god. So Mohg became fond of Miquella's POWER, not him. Basically he loved Miquella's power, but manipulated him to sieze said power. He was most likely going to dispose of Miquella after rising to power, but who knows. Either way, he's a creepy guy who wanted to make his own little Epstein Island to become a god. The End.
Makes me wonder if the melenia fight is optional because maybe it’ll have impact on the future DLC story if it involves miquella

This boss hurt my soul. But I was reborn when I finally killed him. For me personally he was much harder then Melania (I didn't use shackles or summons because thug life) but this fight was crazy fun.
I dealt with him the the same way I dealt with Melania: opened with Ranni's Darkmoon to trigger an instant 10% debuff on him followed up the Darkmoon sword and proc-ed frostbite to add another 20% debuff on top of that he fell fast after that.

Mohgwyn Dynasty is almost ready to show itself as a major force on the political scene of the lands between. Dynasty even has one of the best conditions:
1) Main powers, and overall any information about the location of the Mausoleum is hidden from anyone, who isn't looking for it specifically.
2) Loyal followers, vast majority of which joined willingly
3) Support from one of the Outer gods
The Dynasty is almost ready. The last step needs to be taken, before the Dynasty could reign over the lands between.

After getting my shit kicked in for half a week by this guy, I'm fascinated.
It's makes sense why mohg would steal miqualla he appears to be the only one in all the lands that can do something about curses
Sick video. To say I understand even a fraction of the lore in Elden Ring would be a lie, but this video was accessible and informative. He is representing self-acceptance, he is not repressing who he is because he was told to be ashamed, like his brother does. He was abused by the world because he born into an omen, and decided to rebuild the world into a place where is not subjugated by anyone.
I am not sure how canon it is, but it is implied by the cutscene that he has romantic feelings for Miquela, and that is why he stole him away.
