- New year, new guitar project. This one is for Ivan Dečak, frontmen from Group "Vatra" ("Fire"). Throughout the video, You can hear them play on this very instrument :D .
This build spans over the period of last couple of months.. We tried to keep the wood combination from spring guitar because the sound was great but also go for a different look, black stain under high gloss polish.
The wood we used is american maple and mahogany veneer for the neck-thru core and black ebony for the fret-board and diamond tail piece. Pick-guard and battery cover is made from three layers of laminated mahogany veneer. Top of the body and head is covered with birch root veneer which really resembles small flames. fret-board Inlays are made from white epoxy. Nut is made from cow bone. For gluing we used pvac glue. After staining the guitar in black nitro stain, it was sprayed in 5 coats of polyurethane primer to fill all the pores. After each spray, the surface was sanded with 400 grit sandpaper. After 5 primer coats, I sprayed black burst along the edges, also lignum stencil was applied. After drying, 3 more coats of hard polyurethane finish were applied. For polishing, we used 3 progressively finer pastes until mirror finish was achieved. We used Schaller hardware, Fishman fluence electronics, jumbo frets and D'addario EXL 110 strings.
This was the most complicated guitar build we did so far and if you have any questions, I would be more than happy to answer them in the comments!
Thank you for watching and don't forget to share, like and subscribe! ;D

I'm amazed by those robot arms! never thought that they can be used for such work... AMAZING!!!
This was the most satisfying video with one of the most beautiful guitars I've ever watched!!! Thank you so much!
Wow, just wow, a crasy tone of work to make a custom guitar, amazing craftsmanship.
Wow. You guys are artists. Bloody beautiful work.
That was fun to watch. Love that stop tail.
WOW!, excellent piece of work, i enjoyed every second of that, great work guys.
Why that's amazing!! 😀 Excellent job building the electric guitar!! Quite of a masterpiece!! 😉👍
Awesome ... love that you made everything from scratch... even the truss.
Really nice work!
Pretty piece of artwork that we the simple mortals never gonna have in our hands... It is the equivalent to the Lamborghini of guitars... magnificent and unreachable... Ironically, only affordable by great guitar players of all times for whom this instrument gonna be just one more of his vast collection... and nothing more.
Top quality work, such a beautiful guitar.
AHHH that's a beautiful piece of musical instrument. WELL DONE!
Thank you very much!
I love the gumby headstock on that guitars nice beautiful
Потрясающая работа! Руки мастера и взгляд на конечный результат восхитительны,браво!
I missed the part where you signed it! Fabulous work as always, it seems like you've got yourself a new line of work going on top of everything else you are doing, your guitars are honestly some of the most unique I've ever seen. Keep them coming!
AMAZING you blew me away when I saw you make your own truss rod!
To say that guitar is beautiful seems like an understatement. The guitar build and the video of the build are both excellent. Thanks for sharing this with us.
Thank you very much for watching! Glad you like it CrankyPants:D
it's just me , but personaly i wouldn't have covered these gorgeous figured pieces of wood with black paint ^^
I agree, but then I’m giving the benefit of the doubt that it looks way cooler in person and you just can’t catch it in the vid. I mean, subtle can work too.
The finish was just a veneer, so it required the paint to hide the seams. I agree that it looks better plain, but it isn't actually the wood, only a thin cover.
It’s not actually paint. They used a black stain then clear coated it
Awesome build Guys!
What fun!!!! Thanks for this video.
Man I love a lot about your work, but your processes are awesome!
Stunning!
superb guitar !!! welldone
Another killer guitar build! That mirror finish is just amazing. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for watching Seth! :D

Wow! It makes you appreciate all the craftsmanship required to make a beautiful guitar.
I'm glad you like it Brian! :D
They downloaded a program into a cnc machine, where exactly was the craftsmanship?

Stunning!! Another incredible guitar build!

Has to be one of the best channels on youtube. Thanks for posting great videos
Wow! I really appreciate that.. Thank you for watching!
La lutherie est un art dont vous êtes sans nul doute ses meilleurs artistes.
Amazing job, thanks !
By the title, I thought it was a shou sugi ban guitar. Wasn't disappointed, though! Splendid!
Exactly the same thoughts here!
😁I planned to burn it originaly but because it was for somebody, I just couldnt risk experimenting.. I will try it once for sure..
@@lignumchannel Oh, yeah, that's a good idea! My experience is that you have a lot of control over the burn, so I'm sure you'll manage!

You have a nice CNC setup!
While watching the video, I kept getting excited about what kind of guitar would be born.
Finally the guitar was made.
It's not just a guitar, it's a sounding sculpture.
Keep showing me your awesome guitar.
I've subscribed. Please do it too.or not.

Holy crap what a beautiful guitar!
Thank you Leena!
I can imagine that it's 50x more impressive in person. Great work as always.
Thank you very much John! I need better lighting to catch the details better ;)
did not expect the custom truss rod! that was impressive.
So amazing how much of these components you made from scratch. I half expected you to start making the pickups. Top tier as always.
Absolutely beautiful man
Thank you Dave!
Beautiful!
Thank you J W!
Bogami ima tu tona posla i znanja, svaka čast
WOWOWO beautiful ...
Awesome
Pretty nifty trick with the tape on the frets, never seen that before either...
keep makin' guitarsss
Spectacular! Such amazingly diverse skills to construct so many of the components of the guitar from scratch! Next time I expect that you will scratch build the strings as well ;-)
Very nice work. 👍
Thank you Tom!
Linda guitarra parabéns 👏
Sweet thanks
I also love watching the build videos from Crimson Guitars. And although the techniques you use for creating the body and neck are very different, both always turn into masterpieces. This was probably the most complex guitar build on your channel so far, but it’s also my favorite! Thanks for sharing!
The most complicated, and my favourite so far too.. thank you!😁
so pretty !!!
Thank you Matt!!
I can't wait for the piano build.👍
Maybe, just maybe one day.. maybe.. ;)
Woodworking, metalworking and great design. What's not to like.
Thank you Steve so much! :D
Sick!!
Thank you Richard! :D
Very Nice
Thank you Steve!
Definitely guitar makers and not guitar builders. Cool guitar
C&c a beautiful thing
Awesome guitar=awesome song
Thank you very much! Glad you like both!
Mi amigo que hermosa guitarra de verdad muchas felicidades. Tiene algún precio.
Love the way you made your own truss rod and the end result looks amazing but I'm not much of a veneer person, more of a solid wood person. And I'm more into hand built than CNC routed body's and necks. I think the craftsmanship on a hand built is better because you can feel the work that went into it. But owning a shop that puts out so many a year I can understand needing a CNC to keep up. But a nice looking guitar none the less.
This has been said by guitar makers countless time, again and again, but hand made is no way "better" than cnc. The bulk work is done by cnc, but the finishing touches is still done by humans. CNC is also simply a lot more accurate. It's all in your head mate...
Это лучшее,что я пока видел!!!!
Beautifull guitar! One mike recording from the rehearsal room unfortunately dimm's out the drums, when I still played in a band we used a 6 input mixing console for guitar, bass guitar, vocals en one drums overall and one basedrum mike, that really lightened up the sound!
That is the most well made guitar I've ever seen
Bravo.
Thank you Matthias!😁
Szép munka. ( Nice work.)
Thanky you!:D
That's very nice looking. A bit dark for such a beautifully figured piece of veneer. Really like the wood pick guard, but that string anchor worries me.
beautiful work! makes me want to finish my reno up so I can make another guitar! :)
Yes please ! I loved those videos. But I also love your reno videos 🤗 so take your time 😁
Thank you very much Mike! Yep, there is something special in the process of making them.. :D
What is beautiful in this?? Nothing to do with real luthier work, almost everything is done by CNC machine.
I guess soon comes the day where those same machines will play guitars...
Another masterpiece.
Loved the edge jointing with the robot just because you're too lazy to put the fence on the planer.
ahaha exactly XD Glad you like it!
Дело мастера боится 😊
Beautiful work-talented craftsmen.
I really dig how at the end you discover the driving soundtrack was played on this very instrument. Of course, it says it in the description, but who reads that before watching the video???
:D Thank you Chris!
wow... It was like the one facing scene... where's the gantry?? The robots are a very large surprise.... never seen that before. How the eff are you doing this?? Can you control a robot with G code from Fusion?? unbelievable
That is beautiful!
Where can I get one!??
I am very glad to watch the processes with high technology. And, of course, skills of your staff, too.
So, I would like to hear the sound, any video here? I do not think the BGM one.
By the way, was it good revealing your secrets so much on this video?
Thanks a lot from Japan.
WOW
MOST SATISFYING VIDIO I HAVE EVER WATCHED

omg this is the most beautiful guitar you've built! amazing!
Thank you Ellie! My favorite so far.. :D
Veoma lepo
Hvala!🙂
As the build progressed and the layered complexity of the build kept compounding onto its self I was thinking "Holy F%*# he is going to have at this piece with a blow torch!!! I was a little relieved when the black stain was being applied. I am sure if you decide to shou sugi ban a guitar it will be amazing.
Bravo yet again. Best guitar build so far.
Question?? Have you considered building guitars full time?
I must try burning it some day.. I had a couple of shou sugi ban projects with furniture and I really love it!. And for the question, I think about it a lot;)
@@lignumchannel Re: building guitars full time. We all have responsibilities but if you can follow your heart on this subject.
I would also want to creatively prepare a bore harps.
Это шедевр
With all your fine routing going on, you should seriously consider making an all wood inspired Eddie Van Halen Frankenstrat. That would look really cool!
I wouldnt be surprised if I tried it one day..😁
Nice Schaler gears
Wow!
:D
Wow, how do you top that! Incredible.
I hope I will.. :D Glad you like it!
You should make a steampunk guitar!
Great idea! I must give it a try once..
I have a doubt, this kind of bridge doesnt make a little bit harder to tune the octaves? And this guitar is stunningly gorgeous
I’m curious what you used to put the truss rod in? The clear stuff you used in the channel. Was it just hot glue or like silicon?
Beautiful guitar! How much does something like that run??
Next level : Not found!
Wauw!!
wow
