  • I make soap with Earl Gray tea all the time and this type of tea retains scent really nicely.
This time I’m experimenting with peach herbal tea and I kind of know what to expect but let’s see what happens.
This recipe is wonderful!! Creamy and foamy. On the luxurious side.
***Test batching: I recommend doing a test batch if you're using a new recipe, fragrance oil, or special additives. You don't want to ruin a large batch if things don't go as planned!

    Recipe:
    Olive Oil 25%
    Palm Oil 20%
    Coconut Oil 20%
    Mango Butter 15%
    Sweet Almond Oil 15%
    Castor Oil 5%
    SF: 5%
    I soap at 90 degrees F with a 1.7:1 Water Discount
*******IMPORTANT: Please run this recipe through a soap calculator for your batch size. This will give you your water/lye ratio once you input your desired ratio and batch size. You can also adjust your hard to soft oil ratio to meet your preferences. *****
    Additives:
Table Salt 1/2 Tbsp for my 1100g batch to Lye Water. Adjust as needed for your batch size and preference. (Some of my batch was put in individual molds)
The Salt allows you to unmold very quickly - 5-6 hours.
    Fragrance:None
    Colors: None
I did not CPOP this soap. I placed this soap in the fridge for 1 hour and then on the shelf for 24 hours.
I cut this loaf with a knife instead of my wire cutter. I wanted a very smooth surface.
If you'd like a smooth surface use a knife.

It’s getting pinker but I suspect it may fade to tan at some point. Most botanicals do. It’s very pretty right now while it cures.
