- The Temperance Movement live at Rockpalast at Crossroads Festival 2017.
The Temperance Movement were founded in 2011 by the Glasgow singer Phil Campbell (not to be confused with the same-named Motörhead guitarist) and guitarist Paul Sayer. With their unglamorous, laconic rock 'n' roll attitude and earthy British influences, the band was catapulted into the British album charts overnight - and beyond that in to beeing opening act of the Rival Sons and the Rolling Stones.
The London based quartet receives the "Best New Band" award from UK's classic rock magazine "Classic Rock" and plays a completely sold-out UK tour. Their live shows are unanimously praised by the press: "Authentic blues rock with verve, joy of playing and a confident calmness, far from any pomp and ego".

I'm glad your faith has been restored, but there are thousands of rock bands around at the moment that are at least on par with Temperance Movement. Rock music is in in rudest health in possibly ever

These guys are really good! The singer has such a seemingly effortless rock wail, it belies how difficult it actually is to sing that way! Impressive as hell! Some of his melodic phrases are reminiscent of Ed Kowalczyk from Live, which ain’t a bad thing by any means. Anyone else hearing that?

Absolutely crushed that Phil left the group. I think that will all but kill the band. You can't lose your voice, especially if that voice is as defining to your group as Phil's is
