The example of Dubai U have given in description is 100% correct… I’m living in Dubai All skyscrapers are made through foreign investment… which actually bosts the tourism economy of the city, and investors also gain a lot of profit from their investments. Same likewise this is a great initiative by Turkey President.

The aim of the project is not to remove dangerous goods from a region. OR, don't you know, we do not charge warships passing through the Straits according to the Montreux Convention on Turkish Straits.
However, merchant ships pay a fee even if they pass through the Turkish Straits without stopping at any port. Pilotage and tugboat services and health inspection are also subject to a fee. But with this Kanal Istanbul project, a fee will be charged

Well if you aiming for the oil trade, as you rightly pointed out highly volatile cargoes, then it might be better to think about how close you allow housing development, the blast area will be far more reaching than the heat radiation, so at least a nice view of half a mile either side would be reasonable, allowing the need for fire fighting, and medical help, any thing less would be irresponsible on the government and canal management , the money made will be enormous, so there is no need to put thousands of lives at risk just to line the pockets of land development , and greedy housing projects, the country’s infrastructure has all ready pore capability in the times of server devastation like the earthquake’s, so this project needs to rase the safety level , of all concerned living in the proposed canals pathway.

Istanbul is in both Asia and in Europe. According to the World Atlas 2/3s of its population is in Europe. Its combined population is over15 million so around 10 million reside in Europe. Moscow has a population of over 12 million and Paris over 11 million with both being totally within Europe so put an asterisk after that Istanbul being the most populous city in Europe.

I would like to point out the reason why Turkey is building the canal. The whole land around the new canal plans were already sold to the associates in Turkey and Qatar. So who will gain the most out of the canal project? The people that own land around the canal, since the price of land will increase tremendously after the canal is built using the taxes from the citizens.

even if it true , it will be great for istanbul. Right now there is lot of pressure on istanbul real estate , if more residential areas are built along the canal , it is better. What is wrong if both sides of the canal has Dubai like towers , even better if the glass in towers is replaced by solar panels

You contradict your self when you justify the build of the canal due to the dangerous navigation then accuse the Turkish government of defeaing the purpose by building residential buildings around the new canal.
The idea is that two canals will make the congestion lighter especially if some day they make each one a single way !
Montreux convention is not fair, there's a tall in making sure all of that trafic is safe ! Can you imagine a terrorist attack with a ship in the current canal?
