How do you go for fuel economy driven normally? What is it like on the fwy with the new engine? How does it compare to your mates with their LS conversions?
Mine is pretty similar to his mods wise and I was fully loaded including roof rack for 2 blokes for 2 weeks away in Tassie predominantly off road for the entire time and I averaged 17l per 100.
theres no way its only making 415hp?? with 1000cc injectors, upgraded turbo compressor, 4" exhaust and a flash tune?? thats only 50hp more than what that motor came with from the factory and the factory numbers are known to be well under esimated. it should be well into the 500-600hp range. something is not right here!?
I'm not here to tell you how to make a successful video as I have never made one but from what I've seen on CZcams, videos about cars never get complaints about the music if it's something without lyrics/instrumental, whether that be electronic, hip hop beat or metal/rock
Except that wider tyres would do the exact opposite and create more resistance........wide = more surface for sand to build up against and have to push through. In sand you want narrow tall tyres as they are will cut through the sand and create far less resistance. Check out all the Dakar or Camel Cup racers to see/understand what I mean. Wide and fat in mud/tall and narrow in sand.

Sand driving requires very smooth gradual acceleration with no wheel spin or at least very little wheel spin. You have much to learn young grasshopper.
Leave it here up the Cape for a few years and see how it lasts.. Top mount 220kw td42ti will still be going when this thing is shorted out in a creek. Love the barra but this is only good for the city
Simons World also why would I lie about fuel efficiency? I recently did 2500k round trip to cootamundra towing from the Gold Coast and the fuel economy over the whole trip was 19l per 100ks. These engines make bulk torque at low rpm especially with this turbo so rpms are no different from when I’m pushing this brick through the air on its own or when I’m towing.
How about show it doing something only a 415 rwhp patrol can only do, any car can putt along the beach, we want to see it shredding the beach or smashing a dune.
