  • Priest Lake is a 26,000 acre lake in the northernmost portion of the Idaho Panhandle. In this video, we make the scenic drive to the lake, enjoy some nice views, and walk along the creek in Priest River State Park.

I realize why I like your videos so much-you have a really sharp picture quality that invites a deep look, and you have a great knack of letting the scenery speak for itself. I put your videos on full screen on my 24" monitor and take it all in. It's almost like I'm looking out a front window on the car, and turning my head as I look at the areas, just like I was there. It feels immersive. While I can enjoy all the facts and other features that other road videographers present, you avoid that and let the scenery be the star. And that river was so crystal clear and beautiful, you could almost feel the coolness of it running around your legs if you stood in it.

Thank you, David, for the very nice remarks. As I make more videos, it is becoming clear to me that I am going for more of an immersive feel rather than a facts and figures presentation. I look at it this way. When I am 95 years old and can't travel anymore, I may want to look back on and relive some of the things I've done and revisit some of the places I've been. My videos should be a way to accomplish this. Also, they should give anyone else who is interested in watching an idea of what it is like to visit a certain place or drive on a certain road. Now back to editing. Lots more good (I hope) stuff coming.

Thanks. It's a nice area up there. I hope you have time to explore it while you're up there working. I mostly use GoPro cameras for all my videos. This video was likely shot with a Hero 9. I've since gotten a Hero 10 and Hero 11. They all shoot about the same.
