  • We had a blast taking our kids to the Lionhead natural rock slides at Lion Creek, near Priest Lake in North Idaho. createplaytravel.com/adventur...
All along the hiking trail, we discovered many places to stop and dip our feet in the water. We also found a lot of smaller natural rock slides along the way. We explored some of the natural rock pools in Lion Creek, and found wild huckleberries growing along the trail! At the main Lionhead natural water slides, we tied trash bags around our waist before sliding down the slippery rocks. The Lionhead natural water slides are made by water continually flowing over a smooth rock surface. The rock slide ends in a natural dip in the rock which forms a 2-foot deep pool of water. This family-friendly hike and water slide experience is definitely worth doing with kids and friends. Don't forget to bring sunscreen, water shoes, and plenty of water to stay hydrated. Also, bring TRASH BAGS to sit on to slide down the Lionhead natural water slides. Tie a trash bag around your waist and legs to help you go faster and to protect your clothing. Pack out what you bring in!! Everyone should make an effort to keep Idaho's beautiful natural spaces free from trash.

Thanks for the video! This convinced my family to give it a try but our mini-van didn’t have enough clearance to make it up the road due to the trenches across the road to reduced erosion. Too bad it isn’t more accessible, maybe another time…

This is insanely unsafe. If you are lucky EMS will get you out in maybe 6 hours if you are injured. Trust me I know from the EMS side of it. Don't do it!

@@johnnyrodgers3429 I get it but I also know I wouldn't just dive out of an airplane without a parachute. It's beautiful but it's a risk. More power to ya and yes enjoy life.

@@johnnyrodgers3429 I think she was telling me to shut up. To each his/her own. I am only trying to let people know the risks. I get the beauty and fun but 6 hours to get pulled out of the area if you are injured and putting volunteers at risk getting you out of there isn't my idea of living life.
