Nice to see these roads on the Tube!
Been riding most of this route (but starting at the BP station on the A414 at Ongar before heading along the back roads to Sudbury) as a regular Sunday morning blast for many years, we usually detour down through Kirtling & Cowlinge to Cafe 33 on the A143 after leaving Newmarket for a coffee and bacon roll before heading back home to Essex via the B1057 to Finchingfield & Gt Bardfield to Dunmow then hitting the B184 to Leaden Roding and A1060 to Chelmsford then finally back on the A414 home.
Looking forward to getting Simon's next book.

Great vid. Interesting Simon has a crosstourer, I have one myself. He’s right it can’t do some of the stuff the GS does (…off-road, it’s wayyyy to top heavy and the driveline shunt isn’t great) but they’re nicely under the radar on the adventure scene. The engine is the star feature. Looks like a fun day out, many thanks and keep them coming 👍👍

Cool. Welcome to my neck o' the woods, by the way.
I'm gonna call you out on the Newmarket comment, though. Whenever I've ridden that way, it has _always_ been that busy. :-P
Maybe I'll make a vid on the bits of the ride you left on the cutting room floor.
