Well, I mean, I think evolution is pretty necessary. No one wants the same AC game they've already played with just a different theme (critique they've gotten before quite a few times now). I would assume parkour won't really be that big either since there are basically no tall structures - it'll be there, for sure, but it won't have the same primary focus other games in the series have put on it.
You can hide in plain sight in this game
I think that the new assassins creed games just add to the idea that assassins are more common and out there than people thought, it's just that each previous games we worked with covert assassins that manipulated things stealth, now we get more proactive characters
To be fair, the idea of assassin's as stealthy killers is fairly recent. The Hashīshiyyīn, the Arabic order that the word "Assassin" comes from, were mostly suicide bombers that took out one important guy. They only really used stealth to get close initially, and pretty much never escaped being killed themselves.

Anonymous 1 odyssey is quite a bad game with lore breaking storytelling, bland characters, lazy combat design and enemy scaling and encouraged microtransaction because of the corrupt leveling, origins on the other hand was a great game
Lil Seizure i highly agree with the combat and boring charakters but lorebreaking storytelling? Idk. I really liked the story, it was a bit too fancy for my taste with the godlike deimos and stuff and like i said i really agree with the shitty combat, being forced to flee from every fight since you are down with two hits, making no damage and all that really pissed me off but origins was way worse imo. I think the map dsign is not just one of the best for assassins creed, the map is huge, very refreshing, beautifull and everywhere is something you can do, unlike in origins where 90% was just desert and the rest some empty cities where you had to ride hours to get to something interresting. I also think that charakters lores and personalitys were worse in origins (a woman whos a psychopath and only thinks about brutaly slaughter someone is a medjais wife? Cmon). I also liked origins, dont get me wrong, the story was great, but i still liked odyssey better

Most if not all countries have had territorial expansions or atrocities committed, either for the sake of land, resources, religion, etc. Ended up making us fear each other and become paranoid which led to more conflicts. The roman empire expanse was massive and it was gained with a lot of human lives lost. So byzantium being the good guys... yeah

After playing Valhalla after odyssey i honestly much rather play Valhalla, everything is so polished and nothing feels rly clunky, the atmosphere and immersion are also wayyy better.

hi, i am a long assassin's creed fan i've always followed its news and vids but never got to play until my brother gave me his pc. and now the only games that i still didn't play are odyssey and valhalla. anyway instead of complaining about how the series changed i started to adapt and now i love this rpg style so i am addressing everyone who are reading just love the freaking game. For the 1k time i say it Ubisoft explained why they changed to this style while announcing origins. Plus, if this style didn't work then origins and odyessy wouldn't have been a success and valhalla wouldn't have the best selling game in the entire franshice. so thank u Ubisoft for making amazing games like this and to all the fans if u don't like the story just enjoy the gameplay and the open world.
