So, I decided to buy food instead of pay for internet this month... & now when I try to play sims on my xbox one, I can only use base game, none of my packs work. Is internet mandatory to play with my packs?!

Restart your console and load in again? Double check that your content is installed (manage game and add ons). I know my game syncs to my Xbox live account whenever I load up my game which I’m not sure works without internet but I’ve never checked.
Is the console you're playing on the primary console for your account? I'm a PS4 user so I'm not sure how Xbox goes, but when you game share in PS4 you need to have internet for the content to be confirmed as purchased (as the console you're playing on isn't your accounts primary console for PS4 game sharing)

Yes. When I play on my old Mac from 2009, I can't even get the free updates. Internet access is disabled on my old computer because of out of date software

Questions Can you still build your own bundle on the Consoles I recently came back to the game and with all the current pre-made bundles I either have Two or one of the packs.

For me the packs thing doesn’t even show up. I bought the Cats and Dogs + Sims 4 bundle when I got the game but I can’t find the Cats and Dogs pack and it doesn’t show up in my game. Any idea why?

Nooooope. You have to rebuy the packs on a new platform. Xbox content only transfers to other xboxes. PlayStations only transfer to other PlayStations. PC/Mac/Origin/Steam only work on other platforms are PC/Mac based.
I don't know if this is just me, but my only options are my packs, my expansion packs and free stuff ( which I already have ) so my option isn't there.......

Check the Mods and CC video I've done. CC isn't supported on console versions of The Sims 3. The only "cc" in The Sims 4 is the content they added for the 21st anniversary which was a base game update.
The Closest thing to CC on console is the Gallery. You can download pre made rooms, buildings, families, etc. I more a curation if existing content, not someone creating something new per say. There are a lot of great things on Gallery though.
So i bought the dogs and cats pack on xbox one but it saysi own it and i cant figure out how to actually use it because there is nothing relating to it in my games. Rven if i make a new game it still doesnt show up.
I’m pretty sure if you want to have the animals you have to have a computer and then go to household and adopt then it should be there

hi your probably not seeing this, but I bought the vampires expansion pack on my PS4 and it’s not letting me turn any of my Sims into vampires? do you know how to?
There’s an entire video on vampire cheats which might help.
TLDR: if you want to do it without cheats you need to get a vampire with the ability to turn your sim, to turn your sim. Not all vampires have the ability.

Hi! so i know this video is from a year ago but i had a question bc i just bought the new growing together pack on xbox1 and i bought the pack through sims, it downloaded and installed but when i go on game nothing is there and when i hover over the pack it says i own it but it says “download to use” i can’t figure out how to download to use it, i’ve already went to manage sims and add-ons and it says the pack is already installed just like my other working packs but it is not in game, any help??? ❤️ and yes i’ve also turn on and off my console, closed out of sims, got back in and still nothing, this has been going on since yesterday!

Yeah the first requirement of a DLC is to make sure it has actually been released first. Glad you’ve got it sorted out now. Happy simming.
If I was to get a new playstation would I be able to login to my friends playstation account and download the Sims 4 expansion packs and stuff. I know you use Xbox but this would be helpful if you had an answer. I had contributed to the money to buy the packs and I wanted to see if I could do that
Look into how to gameshare on PlayStation ☺️ I use to do this with Call of Duty with a friend of mine. Might have the answers you’re looking for.
It isn’t like that for me but I play with my ps4 console on a TV so it may be different but it’s this ps app you have your ps account on there so you can buy all of these sims packs lol
I used the Xbox / Microsoft store as an example. PlayStation has their own version.
Do u know what i should do because i just yesterday bought the newest pack and for some reason it did not start installing the pack… when i click on the pack it does say that “you already own this pack” but also says “install and play”.. i have no idea how i can install it, i did look at the ps 4 store and there was no installing button.

If a bundle contains a pack you already own, as far as I know it gets excluded from the price. Are you sure the pack content has been downloaded and installed?

You cannot transfer content between platforms unfortunately.

Make sure you’re connected to the internet. Turn your console off and on. Go back into your store and search for the EP and see if it gives the option to download.

Ummmmmm I don’t think so? Is the gifted bundle physical copies? If so see what happens if you put the disc in? Once content is installed it’s installed is my logic

@@User96743 i fixed my issue! i think its just a glitch. but if you go to whatever game store your console has and search “sims 4” and then the pack you want, its still 50% off and you can buy it and install it that way. i hate that you cant do it in game its so annoying

You can’t. You have to buy all the packs again. Only time you can transfer is PlayStation to PlayStation, Xbox to Xbox or Pc to Mac

How can I make my Sims realitic
so I need help. i can tell from everyone else videos that people use more than one pack at a time on console. i bought sims 4 base + cats and dogs bundle on disc. and i bought sims 4 bg + island living bundle on disc. i have a ps; but only one works at a time. SOMEONE HELP PLEASE
You only need to install the base game once and add the packs on after that is installed.

Packs don’t transfer between platforms.
If you’re going from PC to Xbox/PlayStation, Xbox to PlayStation or Xbox/PlayStation to PC you have to rebuy packs on the new platform unfortunately
so what i’ve done, i bought the cats and dogs pack and the my first pet pack and it shows that i own it but it won’t let me use it in game

Packs are not transferable beheeen different platforms unfortunately. New platform, gotta but then again. PC - Xbox. Xbox to PlayStation. PlayStation to PC.
Only time you can transfer packs is PC to Mac, Xbox to Xbox and PlayStation to PlayStation

Switch out the Microsoft store for the PlayStation store and you’re all good to go

I Bought Pack on PC can i get them to console?
Nope. Packs are not transferable between platforms. As a console player with all packs and DLC, I have to buy everything again if I want it on PC.
PC/Mac can “share” since they both launch from the same launcher. But Xbox cannot share to PC or PS4/5.
