(1050) 🔦 Sofrin SP10 pro Problems & Work Around Fix

  • I'm having a problem with my Sofrin SP10 pro, and I found a work around that gets me out of that problem. The more complex the toy, the more chances of something going out of whack. I think it was happening to both lights, but it definitely is happening with the black one. I'll continue checking the red one to see if I get the same problem. *The red one needed factory reset also to act properly after a different voltage battery change. 🔋

My Wurkkos TS10 copper also was problematic when i first use it, it's stuck in the momentary mode then it later got stuck in the turbo mode but LUCKILY before i went to bed it fixed itself. I hope the problem won't comeback ever again. Brand new flashlight came out of the box with a problem

That's not good, considering the copper version is the most expensive version of the TS10.

Thank you Doug. Yep, once computer chips got involved, flashlights started doing tricks. Back in my day a blinks red light on a flashlight 🔦 was amazing technology 😅

Dr William Mancel of the Flashlightology department. Good old on and off will do for me, although I like the idea of a moon light mode. Thanks for sharing William.

I've been playing around with the lightning mode. It's fun with a diffuser & the lights off. Kinda like being in an electrical storm without the thunder. I put 2 lights in that mode & it was bizarre. Not recommended for the epileptic type. 🙈

The question is; are you learning the light, or is the light learning you? Trickery i say. That's the thing with one switch, you can loose count, or get confused. A one way interface. Sometimes shouting or sweet talk helps, sometimes it don't. Maybe they come up with a voice controlled light. In the mean time just try and wonder. Or get another flashlight and discover something was wrong with it and it wasn't the operator but the light to begin with. Am i making sence? Then i appologize, it can't be the case from a mad man. Thank you William.

Mine only works in turbo mode when I turn it on, I've tried many things and nothing changes. How to fix it? Does anyone have any ideas? I use an original Sofirn cell, it's the same with AA batteries.🤔 I can't change the lighting levels, only turbo :(

That sounds odd. Try a factory reset. Do that by unscrewing the tailcap a turn or two, hold down on the side switch, and screw the tailcap back on while still holding the side switch. The light should flashlight and strobe, then do a final flash, and turn off. That should put it back to factory mode, which might be the simple user interface, but it should give you more than just turbo. If that doesn't work, it might be defective. You could contact Sofrin or wherever you bought it for a replacement. Let me know if it does a factory reset.

Have you tried replacing the battery?

@@WilliamsKnifeLifeyes, charged the battery externally and returned it. Still no. Even tried other batteries. Whenever i plug the usb c onto the flashlight, it blinks red. Seems like its not connected to the battery. I tried turning it on while plugged, no light.

@citocinto it sounds like the charging circuit went bad. I guess you could still use it but charging the battery outside the flashlight.
