- This is a start of a beginner-friendly lecture series introducing basic concepts in #genomics, with a focus on single nucleotide polymorphism (#SNP) data. In this part, we tell about DNA discovery and its building blocks. We talk about the #genomicRevolution, the concept, and the use of markers in genomics.

Thank you so much for making us understand complex concepts in simple way!
thank you so much❤! Wise and great sense of humor
Thank you very much Dr Gabor. If possible to also direct your kind attention to biologists and if possible to teach us basic concepts in statistics (and probalities) that are related to genomics and what does they mean like chi-square, covariance, variance, bayes theorem, entropy of information (it is sometimes mentioned in phylogenetics), bootsrap, bonferroni and so many. If possible with R script and examples. You already done that before but I guess it was quick overlook to those items. Of course, it is a great task. So, when you are free, and if possible, to make those videos. There are many struggling to digest several statistical concepts and relate them to their real life examples. If it is too overload on you, anyway, really and honestly, never mind and big thank you for all your videos. Mohamed
Thank you Mohamed for your kind words and the ideas for the future! Indeed, these aspects are relevant in (population) genomics, so there is a good chance they will appear on the channel. Still, I want to follow up the current threads, before venturing elsewhere.
Very insightful. Precise. Targeted. Accurate. You are doing an amazing job. Please keep it up.
Thank you dear colleague! I will come back for more. It's out of question
This was actually beginner-friendly. I found it so helpful, thank you!
Insightful. Will be following all your videos on Genomics. Thank you soo much Dr. Gabor 🙂
I gained some good insights on genomics. I will be watching more of your videos. Thank you.
Man I don't know who are you, but you are awesome! Thanks for your lectures
Great explanation thank you doctor please continue, it's very helpful specially as it starts from the basics.
Thank you so much! Great lecture!
Great explanation. Thank you.
"But wait, there is more" 🤣. Thanku for sharing these information!
Thank you for your effort. Thanks a lot.
Good job sir, its so helping, keep that thanks
Thanks! Great video!
Thank you so much! This is perfect timing as I will be writing my introduction soon. The flow of information is very nicely structured - detailed yet understandable at every point.
Great video
Thank you sir , appreciable efforts you putted here in this video. I m a B Tech Biotech student and this video is very helpful for me .
Thank you so much. These videos are highly informative and helpful. Thank you so much. We owe you a lot.
Thank you for your kind words! But you owe me nothing. If you find it useful, I appreciate if you bounce it forward to other people, but that's it.
I teach this anyway, and this way just more people can see it...
Great sir
Thanks!
Sir Nice lecture....
Please make a Dedicated video for molecular marker .
Found a new things
1.Moore's law
2.Marker uses and it's dominance in science through years
3.SNP chips
.thank you
Hi,
Thanks for your comment!
There is a separate video on molecular markers czcams.com/video/Bw0yO4mA488/video.html
and also on the process of genotyping of SNP chips czcams.com/video/DHcCv6u0I3M/video.html
Both topics will be mentioned again the follow up videos in this series, as I wanted to have everything as a part of a single series, in similar format, rather than scattered around on the channel. If fhere are some other specific aspects you are interested in, just write it in the comments!
please tell me what should i learn to become data analyst in the field of population genetics or molecular antropology?
