It’s a desperate attempt to seize more power at the cost of the downfall of the greatest country in the world. The differences between us and most of Europe, (hello Poland), 1) We woke up. The communists behind this movement didn’t expect that to happen, and deployed desperate measures, like open borders, lock downs, and lawfare. Yes, empathy is when you are able to take the contextual emotions another human being is feeling/describing to you and you can yourself undestand that feeling either through experience or just plain being empathetic.
It's why you should reserve sympathy for people you don't like. Sympathy comes from a place of not understanding the other person but still standing by them in their plight, getting sympathy from another human is usually humiliating for most people, as it comes from a place of not understand, where as empathy comes from a place of understanding.

Empathy is only supposed to be an understanding of what other people are going through. It is not an emotion which should rule your actions or those of your country. Sometimes you may feel bad for people but need to realize that their problems are their problems, not yours.

The real reason is the IOM, International Organization of Migration. It's a UN Organization that is providing transportation and help for migrants from third world countries to the Western countries.
And yes, the CP has a lot to do with it also.
