Gail finds out David has been the one sending the family letters signed by Richard Hillman for the past three months.

Helens acting was brilliant here. No matter how many jokes are made about gail as a character, helen delivered this scene perfectly.

You know, people can say what they want about the character of Gail, but the Acting here is fantastic. Loved it thoroughly xx
The problem is they no longer write her as this strong woman (and haven't for a long, long time) instead they write her as a simpering simpleton.
That’s because Gail was still Gail back in 2006 (when she genuinely was a very good character). Ever since Collinson’s era she’s been written like a clown.

Tbh In a way i can understand why David did what he did. Gail married a serial killer who tried to kill him. He clearly was very damaged

She annoys me at times too I think the problem with her is she cares more about herself than others. Cos it’s easy for to blame David but she doesn’t understand everything that he went through growing up

How come David sent the Cards from Richard? I suppose after what Gail said, maybe it was true what she was thinking. David was definitely sorry for what he did at the very end because you could tell by his face and it’s still something that I’d never do and I’m not sure whether David should’ve been punished or not tbh.
He sent the cards to split Gail and Phil up, the family thought it was Phil sending the cards because he was doing a thesis
on serial killers or rather expoiting what the Platt's had been through. Gail worked out it was David because one of the cards
had blood on it and David let slip he had a paper cut. Because the police were involved Gail sent David down to the police
station and he was told off. Audrey and Sarah were also deeply disgusted with David. Knowing his actions hurt his family
is punishment. I think David was also upset his Dad moved away.

He’s good at imitating writing, he forged Jason’s handwriting too it’s a creepy detail they never brought up again..
Because one of the cards David sent had blood on it and he said he had a paper cut.
Gail also found cards in David's room and set him up by telling him that Richard's birthday
would have been in May when in actual fact it was in December

This storyline made no sense
Because Richard died during the canal crash. So why is David sending the cards pretending to be Richard when he is dead?
To split up his mum and Phil who Gail was dating at the time.
