Wolverine is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, mostly in association with the X-Men. - Zábava
I love the Wolverine and Sabretooth of the early 90s because they are not the most powerful or the fastest or the smartest but when they gone berserk, they are the most savage and dangerous men in Marvel. I love their savage fights along with OmegaRed
Agreed. Can't stand what Sabretooth has become.
Imagine if Wolverine lifted Ultimate Mjolnir.
Gen Rai yes sir! #myecomics
Jayne Imagine if they did Sabertooth right Make him worthy of being Wolverine's brother! He would be like a Demi-God of like being a Fucking Savage monster with Hercules strength Krato's raw Fury, with Wolverine like Healing Factor! It'd be epic!
Omega is the shizit
Putting another man's Adamantium into you seems more like a 5th Date kinda thing. But that's just me.
Just Some Guy with a Mustache 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
That's the good thing about comic book characters I get older but they always stay the same... all right all right all right
Just Some Guy with a Mustache Honestly tho, how many "dates" have Wolv & Sabe been on at this point?
right...wrestle around with a guy for a better part of a century and it's bound to happen
Yea man...i gotta agree with ya. Mind you, im oldschool like that...;)
Classic Sabertooth is the shit.
Sabretooth looks more demonic than anything I mean just look how insane he looks
If Wolverine's bones have been infused with adamantium, why aren't his teeth all grilled out?
Josiah Sanchez FBI: STAY WHERE YOU ARE
Same reason his nails are not covered in adamantium, teeth are not bone. To be fair though, that would be awesome in a way. Thugged out Wolverine!
Teeth are a lot closer to bone than nails are.
...I've been asking THAT question for YEARS!!!
Josiah Sanchez Great question!!
Rob, my brotha, we'll just chalk that whole "re-melting adamantium" thing to Celestial technology. 👌👍
"It was in the script"
@@glenwaldrop8166 It looked liquid when Magneto was pulling it out of him so they kinda broke the whole concept already. And there's always anti-metal.
@@84C4 I was looking for the magneto comment. I figure if he can do it through magnetism then so can anyone else that can control that power.
I mean that was the biggest possibility because maybe the Celestial Technology is able to do a lot of phenomenal stuff
Well I mean they melted adamantium already when they put it in wolverine so it already has a melting point that has been reached by normal human technology. So it can definitely be reached again.
man it's so cool you're covering these I have ever single issue of vol 1 and 2.
Hey Rob I just wanted to say that I love your channel! You the man bro!
Ayyeee love you man, you got me into comics
Broo your channel is the dopest dope I've ever seen. I love it.
Rob please cover Spawn arcs!!! (21)
Love the Marvel Masterpiece 93 art shots, great video.
In this story, I always assumed it was Apocalypse's molecular control that allowed him to manipulate the adamantium. Heat is just energy in molecules, but if you can control the individual state of each molecule, you'd be controlling them into any state you'd wish.
Seth Decker I was literally just about to post something like this, that adamantium is made of matter, which is composed of molecules and that Apocalypse can control molecules so it made sense
Seth Decker plus I'm pretty sure that Apocalypse was using Celestial Technology.
Aaron Haselrig, probably. He almost always is.
Seth Decker I agree w you 100% it was brought up and explained in the Cutting Edge the letters page in the back of the comic. I have all the issues from this time and read them over and over
It was a combination of both his powers and the Technology
4:58 it's amazing that a four part TV show storyarc was based on a comic that wouldn't come out until 5 years later.
+ComicsExplained Great video! I'm a HUGE Wolverine fan, which in turn launched comic collecting/reading for me. I'm enjoying the refresher on the character through your videos. I find an aspect interesting is you say that during Marvel's bankruptcy they rushed to get adamantium back into Wolverine by ignoring the "rule" that you can't really strip already bonded from someone/something else. However taking it from Sabretooth and giving it to Wolverine was actually the second time Marvel ignored this rule.
In one of the issues you covered in here, Genesis tries to bond adamantium to Logan. He got that adamantium by killing and stripping the metal from the villian Cyber (who had it implanted in his skin). I'm unsure if this was a similar reason to a looming Marvel bankruptcy or if it adds up to Genesis and Apocalypse may not have to play by the same rules as humanoid military.
Keep up the great work!
Keep up the good work rob
Rob,
I love your videos man, especially the Marvel ones for I am a Marvel Junkie! (don't get me wrong I love Superman). I have found so many cool comics because of you and Comicstorian.
I just wanted to say I watch at the very least one of your videos a day and I think the world of you. Keep up the awesome work bro!
-Mike (Comic Banter)
Keep it up with the wolvie stories!
Finally some Stryfe love. Dude is a beast!
Hey Rob, I would love to see a discussion video on which characters from DC you would pick to be the four horsemen of Apocalypse
Panda Redemption that would be epic
Besides batman
"He's so beast!"
AJZulu --> I thought Beast was beast
I remember these comics you are talking about I use to have them all when they came out i just made my self fell old lol
Every time you say to "make sure to hit the subscribe button" I always check to make sure it didn't get accidentally unclicked lol. Your an inspiration man I'm hopefully going to start soon covering vertigo comics. Wish me luck rob!
that runt cant ever beat me
Good vid Rob...
I love The Twelve and Ages of Apocalypse. Jean Grey ripping Apocalypse's soul off of Cyclops is so awesome
Rob, Rob. Magento removed the adamantium from Wolverine by breaking it apart at the molecular level. It's very believable that Apocalypse, having Celestial tech, could reproduce this process.
L all Justin jiuunj
Of course I have faith in you Rob, but don't call me Shirley!!LOL!!!
Wolverine is back!!
DUDE! thank you so much for covering the 12! Anndddddddd Cable/Stryfe! I totally asked you to last week.. fuck yeeaaaaaaaaaah ROB!!!!
Love your vids. I did have a suggestion/request. Can you do a Vid on how powerful the Earth is compare to other worlds in the DC and Marvel universes? I think that would be pretty interesting to see how the earth ranks with other alien worlds.
Dont call me Shirley.
Hey Rob! Been a while since I read a few issues on the 12. Used to get comic books at birthdays and Christmas, so I had a lot of parts to different series. Thanks for filling in so many different gaps. It actually helps to get closier from so many stories.
One story I'm trying to remember involved Juggernaut seeking madam web and Spiderman doing his best to stop him from being him. Also does that tie into when Juggernaut went for Prof X and Iceman managed to build a giant wall then turn it to water and flush him away for a while?
Sorry for the little info. Old memories from books that parents threw out once I moved out... Pissed...
Anyway, big fan. Thanks for the content!
Oh man I remember that ! It really made me rethink wolverine as a hero and both wolverine and sabretooth as both two sides of the same coin. As in Wolverine at his core is not a hero but really just by his gut feeling or spilling the guts of anyone gets in his way.
you should do an explanation about the Phalanx!
man would love to hear a quick rundown on the 12 story. Thats a badass looking wolverine!
Hi Rob!!❤ Love your videos!
I love these videos Rob! They help me get caught up!! Have you read the Weapon X novel? That would be a great video! It's more realistic and scientifically plausible than the TPB, which is no criticism!
You should do Wolverine after Fatal attraction those stories are the best
Fatal Attraction was amazing, I also like the phalanx story also.
Nighter 619 yes yes yes
Rob please do Iceman vs. Human Torch!!
I need a video on the origins of Sabre tooth cause I never knew he had adamantium.
I had that comic book. The one where the cover had the silver shine to wolverines claws
I had more faith, Rob. You rock, homie.
Rob I came up in this era of comics when Marvel was going bankrupt and I witnessed how it effected comics in general. I was also in art school at that time w aspirations of becoming a comic book artist when the bottom fell out of the industry. Would love to discuss it w you and Comistorien? Spelling ? Lol anyway big fan thanks for covering comics from this weird time. Big fan love your stuff
Dude mad points for remembering the animated show was based on The 12! I thought no one caught that.
I got into comics during the great bust, and I had a subscription to wolverine around the beginning of he not dead yet storyline, so I remember watching Leinil yus art evolve from reminiscent of Jim lee to be slightly more angular and stylised almost mignola Esque-still a great storyline and one of my favorite artists for wolverine and in general. That bone claw version of Logan during not dead yet I still think is the perfect iteration of Logan- haggard, vulnerable, raw and interesting
Thank you
First video of comics explainedI haven’t heard a fake chuckle in.
wonderful- 👌👍
It's confirmed! Logan is back. And I don't mean Old Man Logan or another clone. The real deal! Get hype!!
#LogansBack #StarksBack #F4NTASTIC
Do explain if nothing can cut through admantium how did wolverine get out and get his healing factor back
bat prime hot adamantium can cut through adamantium
TheOther Dude yes sir! Can’t wait
I thought the simple solution would have been Kitty phasing Logan out of his tomb. But someone actually cracked the shell?... must have been the Phoenix, and Jean got a mental notification.
Rob bring back the Clams Casino "I'm God" Outro!!!
You should do a concept series on the phantom ring and what color it would turn first when equipped by the various marvel/dc characters.
Those were the best comics in my opinion. The ones where wolverine had his adamantium removed. I hated them as a kid & almost quit comics over it, like many, wolverine was my favorite. But as I got older it was the absolute best. It really let us explore the character so much further in depth in my opinion & see him weak & have to be careful at times. It was great too when they showed just how powerful his healing factor could be. I loved those so much, plus his run in with cyber! I wanted to almost cry when he stomped on his bone claws & just snapped them like twigs!
Wolverine series 2, series 1 was a 3 part series that the movie "The Wolverine" was based on. Future comic, after wolverine kills genesis (tyler), Wolverine and Cable sits in a diner and don't say anything out loud, but since cable is telepathic, they didn't have to say anything. Also, Genesis got his adam from Cyber, Wolverine villian that had skin made from it, it was brutal. Also, Wolverine relied on his adam to give him the edge against Sabertooth, and now that he didn't have it, it made wolverine more careful doing his fight. I love this story!!!
Rob please do a video on Wolverine's healing factor process when he dies! It was in Civil War after Nitro blew him up! Each time he dies, he must battle to come back!
that's amazingly cool
I used to call this series , Amazo comes to the Marvel universe. I started collecting again in Korea because of this series. The ending not my favorite. But the meat of this story legit.
*"YEAH!"*
Hey Rob! Can you please do The Phalanx Covenant? Pleaasseeee!!!!
DRINK every time Rob says ADAMANTIUM
Now from what I remember on how Wolverine got his adamantium skeleton. He was in a room unconscious connected to tubes and wires of their own respectable purposes. And the adamantium in that state was liquor form coursing through Wolverine's body bonding to his skeleton. With the help from his mutant healing factor. But on regards to how he got the adamantium stolen in a since, it was Magneto who pulled it out of his skeleton and ripped it out through Wolverine's skin. There was an issue where Professor Xavier and a few X-Men tried to infuse the adamantium back into Wolverine. And at the end of the issue it showed Wolverine holding a small box and inside was one of his bone claws. He had restored his legendary unbreakable adamantium skeleton and resumed his badass testosterone fueled rage fight scenes. What I never read about was the need to over heat adamantium. From what I can remember it was just a case of keeping Wolverine unconscious and the constant injection of unpronounceable drugs.
You backtracked to vol2 93 to 100 right after the age of apocalypse. Not being a dick, just a friendly correction. Love your channel, keep up the great work 😁👍
Hey Rob it's almost Halloween can you do Marvel Ruins storyline? pleassseeeee
Yes! This was a great story! Horseman of Death! Great stuff!! #myecomics
Please cover the whole of the twelve saga and it's aftermath it's one of my favourite points in xmen comics
Sabretooth got his adamantium from the weapon x program. To work for them he wanted 2 things 1: adamantium laced bones and claws (because he felt it was the only edge Logan had over him) and 2: free reign to kill.
Can you start telling us which Trade paperback of Omnibus these storys are collected in? For example is this vol 1 and 2 of X-Men vs. Apocalypse?
That is Volume Two. Volume One is the four issue mini-series.
Hey rob todays my 18th birthday and i wanna say thank u for making me more in tune when it comes to comics. And if u can give me a shout out on a video or even can u do a strife video or can u start doin a manga series just full of different anime it would definitely bring in a bigger crowd
I think Apocalypse used Celestial technology to move the adamantium from Sabertooth to Wolverine atom by atom. That's why they didn't need to heat it up.
Probably weakend the molecular structure enough to cause it to become liquid again
Wolverine Death was sooo dope!
"Genesis is cable's son from the future" so basically, he is cable's cable?
Crazy you posted this it's literally when I stopped readying comics (marriage happened lol) 😒😣😝😜
Could you cover the Thanos Abyssal Story? I read the first comic some time ago and never found them again. Thanos was like fighting his evil clones ?? Idk man but if you ever get around to covering it that would be awesome
Rob laugh counter: 3
Please continue Invincible!!!
Sabertooth and even Omega-Red is my favorite Wolverine enemies.
They're unlike most of the comic enemeies, rivals what not you can read the feeling and intensity often when they come a cross.
Who's is that standing in the back at 2:35? Make a vid on him/her...is that a beast?
That shit pissed me off but Sabertooth bounced back like he always does thanks to Gambit & Sinister!
Please do mangog!
Adamatium Rage!!! Yall remember that game for sega? Lol has the same cover as this thumbnail
The Adamantium mysteries
Hey can you start kingsmen series? The secret service?
I would love a Sabretooth tattoo cause he's the ultimate badass. but I'mma Florist and not very convincing enough. Yo Rob can you Do Marvels 's Jack the Ripper background, and all his appearance heroes he's gone up against?
X-Men! Thank You
Hulk is one hard guy to lose.
@comicsexplained whats the trade volume that has the plot you talk about at 5:50 ?
Hey Rob, have a good day!
Can you do something on Deathstroke
NO! Chris Claremont did NOT write X-Men: Apocalypse-Twelve. He was writing Heroes Return: Fantastic Four in 2000.
You forgot Living Monolith.
Well, Fox Kids' X-Men: Adventures was canceled years before X-Men: Apocalypse-Twelve was even published; so, if anything, latter was ironically based on "Beyond Good And Evil".
6:20 "samurai sword"!? No, Wolverine as Death's sword was CLEARLY a scimitar, not a katana.
8:33 *even Marvel Comics has admitted there are MANY characters stronger than the Hulk (most of them are cosmic).
You forgot to mention that before the Hulk defeats Wolverine/Death, he is beaten to within an inch of his life before Logan's humanity stops him for an instant. But an instant was all Hulk needed. Hulks healing factor was maxed out, while Death was ripping away at his throat over and over, when the split second hesitation occurs, but that was all Hulk needed to gain the upper hand. Even after defeating 💀, he knows that he was defeated first and withdraws from the fight.
Another thing is that Apocalypse has access to the technology of the Celestials! If there is anything that can make a adamantium transfusion possible, it's Celestial technology!
Id like to learn more about Feral Wolverine. I get the jist of it, however I've never been able to get a good grasp of what happened to Logan during that period of time, and what it was like when he fought, as well as his relationship with the x-men, avengers.
Classic Sabertooth vs Classic Venom
So I want to mention a couple of things. First, the fight against Hulk, wolverine really "won" & I use (") because Wolverine was beating Hulk but then was able to resist Apocalypse's programming & backed off right before delivering a KO blow, which gave Hulk an opening to KO Wolverine. I feel this is important and simultaneously a feat of Wolverine's psychic resistance. also, I always assumed the reason Apocalypse was able to reuse the adamantium because of his Celestial tech ie likely some sort of high level matter manipulation.
I looked Rob. Get that video out homie!
Actually, there is one way to restructure adamantium, molecule manipulation / reorganization. And at this level, there's only two characters that have been shown to pull it off consistently - Ultron and Apocalypse.
Wolverine was already revealed to be the horseman death in uncanny X-men before this issue of wolverine came out. This wasn't the reveal of his identity, it was the reveal that he had his attraction returned
We need a Tyler dayspring origins video
Rob, in speeding thru the fight with the Hulk, you didn't finish a thought. The whole idea of seeing the split fight from Sabertooth and Wolverine, to Hulk and Wolverine is that in the fight. There is a moment where Hulk is in mortal danger and if it had been Sabertooth, the Hulk may have been killed. Wolverine has that split moment of hesitation that allows the Hulk to finally get Wolverine off of him and then, crash him into a tree. Apocalypse then retrieves Wolverine, as he was watching to see if Wolverine was still capable as a fighter, as the horseman Death. This is why the split fights were so important, it is to show that Wolverine was right, and that he was fighting the brainwashing of Apocalypse.
Fred Richardson good point I think it also shows that it in all the times wolverine has fought the hulk the only thing that has stopped wolverine being the ultimate winner is wolverines humanity and without that wolverine would have killed the hulk ages ago. Its similar to when Logan beat sabertooth saying the only thing stopping him from killing him was they used to be friends
That variant cover of cable and stryfe looks so damn awesome. What issue and series is that? Looks like rob liefield art style, but I most likely am wrong. Anyone know what issue and series it is?
So Wolverine became Strider? Neat.
