    I am here for my seasonal visit to this vide, for inspiration. I have a shrimp tank inspired by this set up. This aquascape is simple and very effective. Not too distracting and has just enough places for the shrimp to hide.

    Hi Vladimir, thanks for sharing your great videos.
    The hairgrass in my tanks is growing well but starting to get long and a bit untidy. I'm worried that if I start trimming it, it may go brown and I'll lose it. Do you have any other advice how to prevent this happening at all please?

    • @vladimirstojanovic3603
      @vladimirstojanovic3603  Před 4 lety +2

      Hi! Thanks for watching. When you trim hairgrass that part will never grow back,but new one will start to grow and it will be denser. What am I doing. I cut my hairgrass very short, so when the new one grows it covers the old one I cut off. And so on. The more you trim it the denser and denser it will be.
      Of course, if the conditions in the aquarium are good, the plant will grow quickly and be healthy. That's my experience.

    Can you do a video on substrate maintenance? Using a gravel vacuum and also showing what products you use to treat your water. Do you have an aquarium bacteria and water conditioner? Do you have to include other products for your plants or do they retrieve nutrients from the soil rather than the water?

    • @vladimirstojanovic3603
      @vladimirstojanovic3603  Před 4 lety +1

      I siphon the sand in front where there are no plants planted,
      At the place where the plants are planted, I do not touch anything. Because the roots of the plants do not allow the accumulation of toxic gases in the sand. So I'm talking about heavily planted tanks. So if we talk about 50 gallon tank with sand and two plants, then should be concerned about the buildup of toxic gases in sand.
