    Respectfully, for a beginner to truly be successful, the ‘Be Patient’ step should be at Step 3, before planting, while including more instruction for establishing the bacterial balance of the tank through methods such as dark start, used substrate/filter media, or starter bacteria. When I was new to the hobby, I used to get so frustrated watching videos of pro aquascapers building gorgeous scapes that seemed to thrive right away. While I constantly battled algae and dying plants in my newly setup tanks. But when I reset my expectation to starting a tank over two or three months, using dark start and slowly getting the system running and balanced, I really started to get similar results to what pros like Green Aqua get.

      You are totally right. For beginners this video is very misleading. With a dark start things are much much more comfortable for a beginner. Like this you have to count with plant melting, lots of organic waste from plant changing to immerse form, brown, green algae, etc…

    I wonder if you need a air pomp in a planted tank with co2 ? And why ?

    • @GreenAquaShop
      @GreenAquaShop  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Only if your filter pump is weak and you have issues with that. Air pump will do the aeration overnight, will help the bacteria activity and keep the balance. If you have a large enough filter this is not needed in most cases.

    Fresh soil increases Amonia as per my knowledge, this causes plant melting, how to avoid this?
    Or let the soil settle first by adding water only for few days and add plants after some days.

      The dark start was not even a thing for decades. So you're saying that is the only way for a beginner? If something is misleading, that is it. We never used dark start. You can use this option just like the dry start, but not the only one. We've seen a ton of beginners build beautiful aquariums without it.

      I mean...these videos are not free to produce. They are often sponsored by the mfg mentioned. Green Aqua also has subscribers who pay a monthly fee. If you want fewer brands mentioned, become part of the alternate source of revenue. They ARE a store. They stand behind the products they sell. They recommend various branded items (not always ADA) in other videos dependent upon size of tank and type of setup. Green Aqua creates the epitome of planted tanks and you can use the advice complete with name brand or buy an equivalent that sppeals to you.
      There aren't a ton of ADA products available near me without ordering from just a couple of North American suppliers, but I can tell you that the tweezer/pincers that I bought on vacation to Japan that are DOOA brand (also made by ADA) are my *favorite* tools to use by far. They are so much easier to work with than the unbranded Chinese ones I ordered and the name branded ones I bought locally. I think if you have the budget and choose to go with the ADA branded items, you probably won't regret it.

  • @albertorudi5168
    @albertorudi5168 Před 2 měsíci

    Why you didn't report the Total cost of this tank??? Yes , we know ADA is the most expensive brand, generally, but is if you'd report the total price, more or less, it would help the choice. This video is simply a commercial spot. Anything more. "NATURAL" aquarium?? What do you mean actually about you "natural" vision of Aquarium hobby?

    • @GreenAquaShop
      @GreenAquaShop  Před 2 měsíci

      The goal of these videos is inspiration. Since not all the products are available on all markets and budgets as costs differ, it does not make sense to show the total price every time. A quality setup definitely has a higher cost. But all the details is in the description if someone is interested in a specific item.
