I feel like 'No notebook hoarding challenge' was speaking to me directly.
I also like to use Field Notes. I have one where I keep track of health related issues or questions (Thank goodness I have vary few). I take that to my Dr appointment so I can talk to Dr during my annual well visit. I very much enjoy your videos. Thank you!
That's a good purpose for it. Then, you don't have to worry about possibly forgetting to tell your doctor anything important.
A great pen to use with field notes is the Frixion pens. Works great with the paper type of the field notes books.

Will you transfer from your pocket size to the larger common place book or will you use the larger one for something else now?
I'm not planning, too. This will be my main commonplace book. Honestly, I think that it would be interesting to have many of these pocket size commonplace books stored on my bookshelf by date and topics that have been filled up over time.
Do you know about how long these notebooks last you. All the videos I watched recommend a smaller notebook so you can carry it around, but I feel like the small notebook will fill up too fast.
This is the first time that I'm trying out commonplacing in a small notebook, therefore I'm not sure how long it will last.

I have this set of notebooks and am not getting on with the paper. You can't use ballpoint or gel pen with it, so it becomes having to carry around a special fineliner. I miss the ease of using whatever pen I happen to have in my bag. I was not happy with this purchase, and I won't buy a field notes with this particular paper again- no matter how cute the cover is!
I'm sorry that you've had this problem, but I haven't had the same problem. I've used my fountain pens, gel pens, and markers on it- with no problem.
@@PlanYourOneLife interesting… I don’t use fountain pens but maybe the paper texture is geared more towards that. I just bought these for the cheery yellow covers, but the paper is definitely different than field notes I had before
@@rissajaneen I agree with you. The paper in this particular collection has a slippery coating. Pen ink takes longer to dry on it. But that might just might be this collection. I've noticed that the type of paper varies sometimes, depending on which notebook that you buy. You can look at the back inside cover of your notebook to see which type of paper it is. Also, on the website they do list the paper type for each notebook. I hope that helps!
