Agreed on the service charges and parts changing but the safety part is always better on a mercedes. They are pioneers of safety worldwide and are regarded at part with Volvo. Resale and Reliability might not be on fortuner part but Safety is a whole lot better +less body roll and therefore less chances of flipping

The irony is people call this small 50 lakh merc with a 1.3 liter Nissan engine value for money and big spacious cars like octavia and superb with 2.0 tsi engines which are there even in 60 lakh rupee audis overpriced. When your driving a car it's the power train which matters the most not features and gimmicks

Ground clearance is a major issue in Octavia and superb. Skoda slavia has good ground clearance. Mercedes Benz GLA has more than 180 mm ground clearance.
In India road conditions are so bad that Octavia under body will get scrapped
@@abhaykeshri6514 it seems less on paper but we've owned the 2021 octy for a year now and it hasn't scraped even once on our bangalore roads so ground clearance isn't really an issue.
