  • Been wanting to do a stand-up scooter build, just to change things up from my usual Razor MX650 / MX500 projects. Luckily I got a generous donation from Flex-E-Moto (Jacson Crider) so I can start another build for y'all. In this video, I'll be unboxing and performing initial testing on this E325 before we fully tear it down and start replacing all the components.
Everything used on this project (So Far):
    . Razor E325 24V Electric Scooter: amzn.to/44zyZbR
    . Razor E300 (Same Thing): amzn.to/46XBCpt
    . CYCPLUS GPS Speedometer: amzn.to/44GY3O7
    . 8.4V 4200mAh 7-Cell NiMH Battery: amzn.to/3Y3e12u
. RC Car Battery Charger: amzn.to/3Yj6E7v
    . Speed Booster Harness: ebay.us/pXSs1y

I would definitely go with a hub motor. No need for higher off the line torque on a scooter so hub motor is a good option. Plus you get the benefit of being extra quiet loosing the chain drive. Plus you gain more battery space. No brainer IMO.

Yeah I think this is the way I’m going. Do you have any in particular you’d like to recommend?

Just got into these electric bike/scooter. There’s a e300 in my local area. Guy is asking for 50 bucks is it worth grabbing it to upgrade? Love the vids. Waiting on the updated vid for this one. When is it coming out?

Please look at the other videos in this same playlist, there should be at least 3 update videos after this one. Really depends what you’re looking for.. one main limiting factor of this scooter is lack of suspension so it feels unsafe upwards of 25 mph

Maybe make the batteries easy to swap and keep and extra set on hand

I like it, though it would have to be easier to access than how it is right now

Those newer skinny tire e300s are 12-13mph best, the older fat tire with 200lbs still hit 15-16mph. I have built many 36v E300s, bith lead acid and lithium. I have seen 23mph modified 36v.

Appreciate the input. I’m converting this one to 52v brushless hub motor. Hopefully it’ll hit the 30 mph target

@@PatOutdoors nice, I have wanted to try that. No one has that budget yet. Ha

Why not flip the motor around so it sits on top? That way you can run an MY1020 with minimal modification.
You would have to make a new deck out of plywood or metal, but it would get you the 30MPH you're looking for.
I would also advise a variable speed throttle when you replace the motor and controller.
Your target should be about 36V with a 1500W controller and a gear ratio of 4, that ought to do 30.
Edit: NVM, I saw you went with a hub motor.
