You said to "please let me know", so here I am letting you know: I love this video very very much and you are awesome.
Loved it! I love watching you make anything
Dude that was awesome. Looking forward to seeing more of these :)
A great tutorial with loads of hints and tips that could be used on any piece of terrain - MDF or standard scratchbuild.
Thank you.
Tony
love the vid and love the format, works really well - well worth the effort mate
You do some amazing work man, thanks for sharing and teaching!
Love it fella.
Really informative and easy to follow, with all the great tips as usual.
Keep an coming.
Looking forward to seeing the progression on this whole board
This is a great build. I loved seeing the process and it's really cool to see how to tweak kits to have a much more unique and next level feel. I love watching your creative process and dedication. Thank you!
Good job and great result. Love to see more of this one.
Some great tips in this video. Thanks!
Great work as always Luke, haven't been a subscriber for long but already learning a tonne. Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing your knowledge and talent with everyone.
Great video if you enjoy the craft side of the hobby. By using a MDF model as a foundation you have made it into something that looks as good as a resin model.
Thanks Luke. That was a really good video. I liked the new format.
Excellent work mate, loved it :)
What an incredible improvement. Really liking this format too.
Like you, I have not really been drawn to MDF kits. They look too "manufactured." However, between this video and BMC's video, you've made me a believer. Great work, Luke!
WOW! You took what is already a decent looking kit and turned it into a masterpiece. You have given me ideas for other builds I'm working on. Inspiring!
Superb. Really breathes life into an mdf buildings. Thanks.
I like the way that roof tiles cover up the steps in the mdf. The tiles, themselves, are really fantastic.
Awesome video mate, can't wait to see the skirmish board 👍
Amazing vid. Brilliant format
Excellent video. Love the roof shingles.
❤❤❤.
Love it as always dude.
Brilliant work and the new studio looks good.
Thank you for this. Well done.
I am exited to see the board build!!
Bang on Our Kid!!! More of the same please Luke, this totaly transforms these kits.
Bloody love it !!!!!
Finally Luke has found his calling and become a true Modeller like his predecessors of times gone by, when kits needed tarting up to look original. We all have our talents and Modelling on this scale is a challenge but the rewards are numerous . Thanks Matey for sharing.
I've had my eyes on some of these for a while to do exactly what you've done here. I recently got a box of tiles that came with lots of little doors so I experimented on those using different materials to see what effects I could get and was quite pleased with the outcome. I thought that doing this sort of thing would be the obvious next step. so I am definitely going to have a crack at these in the new year.
I keep a "skate stone" in my hobby kit to resharpen my exacto/stanley blades with. Cheap as chips, and keeps the edge sharp for as long as you need it especially with foam. Great little piece of kit for sure!
Superb! Can't wait to see the board with these on it.
Very cool. I build a lot if mdf buildings and more tips to make them look better and more realistic always helps.
Loving it! More please!
That looks great Luke, thanks for sharing...
as always awesome job. you are always a great source of inspiration
I love this new style of video. Very useful.
Loving this new project - so much of my new project planned terrain will be MDF for budget reasons, so all these suggestions to individualise the kits are extremely helpful - I will probably go the cardboard tile route for that reason and access to the interior is necessary because of the style of game i'm playing, but tricking out MDF in this way means an el cheapo MDF kit can end up with a decent amount of pop. Much paprecaited as always. Hope the move is going smoothly.
Wow,you never know that was an mdf kit. Looks stunning. The format is great.
wow amazing love your channel keep it up
Good work, looks great
Great job as always
Nice build, like the way it came out. Keep up with the great video’s
Liked the format!
Super nice, more!
Great video, keep making these please. I really enjoy them
Cool vid, the kit is so much improved.
Roof shingles really look like slate but man that's a long casting and fitting process, walling paper, fake render and balsa processes were all really great effects for the time invested, great vid
Wunderful done!
It looks so good :) I just received 3 mdf kits and cant wait to spruce them up!
No joke those tiles look amazing, totally gonna look into getting some of thos moulds!
Really great idea :O. stop being so crafty!
Hi well done video, keep them coming👍👍👍👍👍
Hiya Luke, Outstanding tutorial, Love the new set up, Crack on Buddy! Waiting with baited breath! Kind Regards Johnny
Great video brother. Love how it came out. One day I'll be awesome like you on building terrain
Simplemente increíble!!!! Menudo cambio !!!!
I really like this structure.
Awesome work mate
looks awesome, keep up the great work, id'e love to get some of them someday. can't wait to see you do the others.
Very CoOL!!! I want to see more of that kind of stuff! :)
loved it, and i love the contrast of techniques compared to BMC, so thanks for an amazing video i always enjoy your vids but this is one of my preferred vids now :-)
Mint that. Great job cheers
Great finish mate.
Fantastic!
Best video in a long time!!!!
Great video as usual!!!
Wow, first I thought you were mental starting to cast your roofing tiles. Chuckling to my self I thought “hehe, wait till I tell Luke about cutting strips of cardboard with a pair of scissors”😝
But fair game, those tiles really look the part, like actual mini slate tiles. Spot on mate!👍🏻
Looks better than the house I live in! Great job dude!
Looks great!
Thanks Luke, i've being trying to improve some mdf kits i bought from christmas decoratipn dioramas, poorhammer edition lol. Great info, very helpful. Cheers
Love this one dude 👌
More of this sort of content please!
Small Wire brushs work well for wood grain in case you're worried of scoring it too deep with a knife. Absolutely loving the videos man. Your content is always amazing.
Top banana, just so very useful. Thanks for this.
Great Video!
Very nice upgrades!
Love it when you improve buildings and think you might have meant shingles for the old wooden roof tiles and look forward to seeing the board too .
Awesome job with this one
Nice one. Really draws on a lot of skills and techniques. Definitely a good format. Would love to see what you can do with a plastic castle
Awesome work!!! I came here from Black Magic....I’m gonna stick around!
Awesome. I like that you could in theory stop at any point during this, depending on how much effort and how much work you want to put into it. I think even doing just resin or card tiles on the mdf roof would immediately add a lot to just the basic mdf kit.
Oooooooooooooooooooooh yes, superb!
Love it!
I like the video format.
Here I am letting you know! Loved the video. Hopefully I can find the wallpaper or a similar wallpaper in the US. Sadly the one linked isn’t. Can’t wait to see more videos like this!
Nice job. I make up things to give away for kiddies to play with and I use a lot of printed wrappers for buildings, they lack relief detail but in 1:72 that's no big issue and by mirroring the exterior I can add a wallpaper wrapper for the interior (also handy as it holds the clear plastic glazing from packaging in place against the wall). As they are for imaginative play I add working doors (card door secured with thin cloth to the inside wall) and that goes down well with youngsters. Looking forward to your sci-fi board, need some ideas for a set in the works.
Amazing
like the new format.
Lovely! :)
Love the video
I just got my Gloomburg Manor in the mail today and now you're uploading this video. Coincidence?
If you have a leather craft supply down there (or use amazon or something) look into getting a hair sculpting blade. It's a small multi blade tool that makes shallow cuts for simulating hair in leather tooling projects. It is really good at making wood grain in soft surfaces like balsa or foam.
Very good mate looks completely different
The lack of doorhandles is probably why that guy disliked it :D Looks great, might have to do some stuff to make my MDF stuff look better. Then again, the rest of my stuff doesn't make MDF look crap, in fact the MDF is some of the best stuff (at least it's finished).
AWESOME
Perfect building for a rabble of G’norks to live in
I dreamt of G'norks last night... It was terrifying!
At first, I couldn't stand you ear thingie but your amazing skill and personality made me sub.
I'm interesting in that video that you mention, how to make molds for roof tiles, brick, etc.
Looks great. I've avoided mdf kits in the past but I really like the results you have got.
Do you have any ideas on how to improve more industrial/Sci fi type kits
Great idea :D
