For anyone unaware, the 3 moves work like rock, paper, scissors. The dodge attack beats the grab, the grab beats the block and the block beats the attack. So basically if you come up against Leth, always counter him with the normal attack

So it's said, I've definitely attacked a player who's managed to grab me though!
I dont know if it is just me but when i use the basic attack, i still get grabbed for some reason

They really need to add this targeting system to some of the rumble powerups like disruptor, swap, boot etc.

@@bluedragon_rl No it wouldn't. You can already aim it by moving your camera but it just doesn't work well.

Imagine if goal explosions is used in this game mode when you demo somebody instead of demolition explosions.

Imagine blowing someone up and the goal explosion that sucks nearby cars to it happens... I dont think that would go very well

they added so much and even added another mini section in the controls and made more than one map for it. I'd be surprised if it doesnt become permanent after some time

This mode can be crushing at times but it’s a lot of fun literally running around and punting cars into another dimension and not carrying about stuff like score just coming out on top is literally the best
I really hope this stays as a permanent custom game mode like Heatseeker and spike rush after the LTM ends.
This is the most rage inducing shit I've ever played. There's those random hits that send you flying away super fast, and being grabbed equals death because you'll be sent to the floor with no chance of defending.
I love this mode so much!!! I really hope they add it as an extra mode to chill and just have stupid fun. This game needed this!

No please no i dont want to ever see this mode again. Well, i can choose not to play it ofc. But still. Its either full of smurfs or im the worst player this mode has ever seen. been diamond 1/2/3 for 5 seasons straight. and in this mode its like im up against SSLs and freestylers. everyone is a freaking god. just how did everyone get this good this fast?

11:40 another spot I use is behind the head of the skull there is the crown type thing with spikes. You can stay in the back of them and people will kts if they try to get to you and fail. It's a great spot

@@jeffreymyers52 you do know what half means right? Well it means that part of the way through the strat didn't work...therefore I didn't hide the whole game and get one ko, I infact had 5
So what makes the grab more over powered is that it ignores the counter, though the normal flip gets priority over the grab when bumping into eachother. Great video Leth! Love this new gamemode and keep up the good content! ❤
Played this for like 9 hours straight today! Bout time we got something new in this game. The console homies can kinda feel what it’s like to have workshop mode to play.

This mode is really helping me with aerials, learning inverted aerials trying to recover. Fun training for me
Getting those aerial heavy hits is so satisfying. This game mode definitely showcases everyone's aerial control (or lack thereof) but it can very quickly help you practice recoveries and overall car control.
Honestly this mode the most fun in rocket league I've had in so long. Leth was a little too focused on grabs to see how much fun it is to yeet someone into the distance though

I LOVE this gamemode. I stopped playing rocket for a long time but I thought I'd give this a try. It's so much diffrent from normal gamemodes and definitely a step in the right direction

Back in the day a friend made a Halo 3 custom map on Sandbox that was very similar, using indestructible Gauss Warthogs to play bumper cars over the death zone. Very cool to see Psyonix make this, can't wait to try it out!

Bro they should make this a competitve extra games mode i feel like it would be so fun to just always have it or atleast put it in private matchs and lan matchs
The only thing I'd change is I'd add like a 10-20second wall timer, where you cant just camp there. I had a game where a guy just sat on the end of the curved spike and nobody could kill him.
Grab is OP but it makes the game mode really fun. I've had trouble countering it with attack though. Maybe buff attack a little
How does grab work? I couldn't figure out how to use it
@@jonahdza If you jump or dodge while holding the grab button, youll grab instead of attack. Then the next direction you flip will throw the other car, but relative to the plane of your wheels, not the ground. So if you point your nose up and flip forward, the other car will go up. They have the button assigned by default to left trigger, which I dont like cuz its the reverse button for me (and probably a lot of people). You can reassign it though.

The grab is way OP. they need to nerf it a bit somehow, make it recharge before you can use it again or something.

I love this mode so far. I've always been good at fighting games like smash, and this blends the genres perfectly.

After Playing the mode a little more. I've gotta say I love how the controls are. like there's a notable difference in how the controls handle when comparing this to the normal mode and honestly I prefer this. (like the stiffness of the steering/ boost being able to counter momentum and works better/ dodge mechanics just feel better. and over all I don't find myself flopping around like I do in the normal 2v2 or 3v3 modes.) I hope they plan to make the main game controls to be more like this I mean it's not really that noticeable but it really makes the game feel smoother and I can actually play without throwing myself across the field like a ragdoll when I hit something a certain way (like a wall or the ball or even just bumping other players)
Main game controls feel a lot better than these imo, and I definitely don’t think they should change the core game mechanics to be more like this because I think they’d be a lot more clunky in soccar. But I do like the mechanics for this mode. I kinda wish it was possible to speed flip and wave dash tho
There is no way they could make the main game like this because this new mode has instant momentum canceling with dodge/boost, and there are also no advanced mechanics like wave-dash or speed-flip. Making them the same would basically break rocket league. It would be a HUGE change. I do agree that it feels nice and snappy and works well for this mode though.

Mode is actually pretty fun, seems relatively inconsistent for 50/50 grabs/certain counters but still worth giving it some time

I really hope they see how popular this mode is and make it a permanent mode... or at least add it to game mode options for private matches. This is something I’d love to be able to play whenever I feel like.
It’s basically Rock Paper Scissors… grab beats shield, Shield beats attack, and attack beats grab… So best strat is dodge a bunch and then try to counter what players usually do by watching them… L1 + Dodge is grab, Dodge is attack and back flip is shield
surprisingly this gamemode reminds me alot of the smash bros concept. You generally try to smash the opponent into the ground, off stage, but at later portions of the game you can also kill by lunching them into the air.

I haven't played more than a couple of hours on RL in quite a while but I spent 8 hours on this mode yesterday... It's awesome!
