How to Install a Pioneer DJ Audio Driver on Big Sur |

- ALL MUSIC USED WAS FROM THE CZcams AUDIO LIBRARY & THE CROSSFADER FREE PACK. THE MUSIC PLAYED OFF REKORDBOX WAS FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES. I SHOULDN'T GET DEMONETIZED FOR THIS.
See below procedure as discussed in the video:
1. Unplug the USB from the Controller.
2. Download the driver if you don't still have the driver package.
3. Open the driver package and run the uninstaller file.
4. Reboot your computer.
5. Go to your Applications and open the Utilities folder, launch the Terminal app.
6. Type (or copy/paste) the following command:
sudo kextcache --clear-staging
Then hit [return].
7. You will need to enter your Mac user password (or just hit enter if you don't have a password); it will not show any characters on screen as you type, press return when you are done and the process will run.
8. Open the driver package and run the driver installation file.
9. After the installation has completed, give the drivers permission (System Preferences, Security & Privacy, General Tab); this may not have appeared previously, but as the kext (driver extension) cache has been cleared, the security prompt should now appear - click the button to allow the drivers through the security.
10. Connect the Controller and test it out.
After that, please follow the steps from page 2 of the instruction file below.
Make sure to go through the Security & Privacy settings.

I love you so much bro I have my first gig ever at a bar two days from now and just got a new computer and it wasn’t working I was in the uninstall and re-install loop for like 4 hours straight and on forums and what not I was hyper stressing and u saved me finally

I recently bought a xdj-rr but im unable to install the xdj rr audio drivers because it requires mac os sanoma, But I only have high sierra. I only use my laptop for djing so I don't want to update at the moment, as I already upgraded the ram to 16gb and I've added a hard drive. Any advice? or do you have an old xdj rr audio driver? Previously i had and xdj rx2 and I had no issues. Thanks

This worked wonders for me on both my DJM S9 and DDJ1000SRT using SDJ Pro. Just followed it step by step. Viola, MacBook recognizing my gear again.

Tengo el problema que Rekordbox me pide actulizar mis drivers el mi DDJ 1000, primero volvi a ejecturar el archivo bajado de la web DDJ 100 M 3.O.O , ejecuto el desinstalador, luego se me reinicia la computadora y me pide que actualize para la version 4.0.0, pongo instalar, se me cierra el rekordbox, espero que la maquina se vuelva a reiniciar sola, pero eso nunca sucede, presiento que nunca se me instalan los drivers 4.0.0 para poder hacer funcionar de forma correctar los audio drivers de mi ddj 1000. que puede hacer? es urgente !! Gracias
Hey brother so initially everything worked smoothly and my Rekordbox recognized my S9 again after doing the second step in video. I had to uninstall and do the same thing for the 900NXS2. After doing so however now my S9 isnt recognized when first plugging into my Mac. I have to reinstall the driver while Rekordbox is open in order for it to be recognized. Any idea why this is happening? Appreciate any input thanks!

i still having the problem the only way i have sound from ddj 1000 is every time i want it to use i reinstall the driver from the rekordbox preferences :(
I'm having the same issue!!! Is it every time you restart your Mac/PC? Also does the sound only come from your mac until you reinstall driver? Hope you got it fixed but would love to know your solution if you were able to figure out. Cheers.
I watch the video and I’ve been trying to connect my pioneer DDJSX3 to Big Sur for the last 48 hours with no luck. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the proper driver as well as the firmware but I keep getting the box in the left lower corner that says audio error. Anyone have any thoughts?

I hace a problem since I was update to IOS a Monterrey, after one hour or 40 minutes the music stops and I need to put off the controller and put on again and the sound back again, did you have any problem like that?
Did you find a solution? I had the same issue after updating to Monterey on a Macbook Pro 2015 with Pioneer S9 and Phase. In the middle of the set the music stops, files still running, platters still spinning - unplug/plug usb-cable and it was woking again. Couldnt figure it out.

So when I downoad the driver, mine doesn't even have the option to play dumb and hit ok. it just downloads straight away. So I go to the security preferences and there isn't the message shown at 7:48. Instead It prompts me to ".press and hold the Touch ID or power button to launch Startup Security Utility. In Startup Security Utility, enable kernel extensions from the Security Policy button." at which stage I'm lost
Havent heard that before. Are you on Mac OS Monterey? If so it's not compatible yet.... Send over your query thru rekordbox support
I upgraded from Catilina to Big Sur and followed your 2nd tip as the first did not work. Used the Terminal code and uninstalled with old driver uninstall. Re-installed new driver did not get the Security Prompt at the end? Still not working when DDJ800 is connected after reinstalling new driver????
you'll have to manually go there. go to system preferences > security & privacy > general to 'allow' the install to fully go thru
@@therealblackmoose I did allow it the first attempt to install the drivers, after uninstalling the security prompt did not appear again
@@dazoneal I'm having a similar issue with my DDJ-RZ. Have installed the drivers countless times and can't seem to get anywhere. My decks control the software but it doesn't have its own audio driver so it's pretty useless. Have you managed to find a solution?

This seems so complex now to get the driver to work. especially since you don’t know if it’s actually gonna work. I tried connecting to the DDJ sx3 it detected the mixer but it didn’t connect to audio
Thank Apple for the extra security measures. Just follow the instruction guide on how to install the driver.
It’s just weird. I walked in to guitar center the other day I tried three mixers I never used before and connected and played no problem. But connecting to this sx3 is a mission
Hopefully someone can help me out. Recently my ddj-1000 which I’m using with rekordbox on MAC with the BIG SUR Version 11.6 My sound keeps cutting out completely every 30mins and it won’t come back until I exit out of rekordbox and then it works again for 30mins. Someone please help, this never happened before and I stream every week and it’s embarrassing that it keeps stopping 😭
Did you download the latest driver? You'll need to uninstall then reinstall the new one.
Otherwise create a support ticket thru the rekordbox.com website
@@therealblackmoose I have whatever latest audio driver rekordbox made me download last. When I google drivers for my ddj1000 nothing for Big Sur comes up. Only other Mac OS versions 😭

Ddj 400 doesn't need a driver. You need the latest version of rekordbox, latest version of big sur which should be 11.6. Get onto performance mode and off you go. Otherwise, submit a support ticket to rekordbox.com and provide as much info as you can

When I connect the controller to serato I can see the decks just for 1 second and then they go away

Check that you installed the driver properly, sound come out of the masters as well, Headphone cues are on....

Rekordbox 6.6.1 asks for drivers 4.0.0 of my DDJ-1000
Like in the title. I uptadet rekordbox in my macbook and it asks for a driver that doesn't exists 4.0.0
My DDJ-1000 now doesn't show me platter lcd displays....
Anyone?
Driver version 4.0.0 is on your mac. Just click install when you see that pop up in rekordbox.
Any tips on doing this for Sonoma?
Sonoma not officially supported yet. Soon though. In the meantime, download the latest drivers then restart the Mac. Should be fine
