Yeah, for me it was on around dinner time and sometimes my brother would play it right when I finished my food, so I remember just seeing the shows play completely confused (yet saw my brother watching it so I believed it to be good).

All of these products are based on the false idea that all dietary fat is the cause of obesity. More recent studies are showing that not to be the case and that some fats are better for you than others.

I think the Ellen interview that made me laugh the most after things blew up on her was with Dakota Johnson when she getting weirdly passive aggressive with her for not being invited to her birthday party because Ellen is secretly seven years old I guess. Then Dakota was like "I did invite you though because you gave me a bunch of shit for not inviting you last year"
My favorite was.....I think it was Dakota Johnson too maybe. Crap I forgot who it was. But Ellen was bitching about not being invited to something, and the celeb just said "Cause we aren't really friends. We just pretend to be for TV" then did an awkward laugh. I almost pissed myself laughing.
Ellen was really trying hard to be in her prime with sheer force of will in her show for 19 seasons only for it to be cancelled since she was just an insufferable 4 year old child, as soon as that dogshit excuse of a talk show ended, Ellen dried up quicker then a man from Hawaii chugging down coconut water from the most expensive and most luxurious coconut in the world, and that bitch was more dry then a Discord mod, I will forever be indebted to God for speeding up Ellen's age process to the point that shes nothing but a skeleton

I was always an outspoken critic of Ellen. I swear it was basically a sin to hate Ellen in her prime, so much so she herself made sure everyone loved Ellen. I never found her that funny, but after hearing all the stuff from her staff, it certainly solidifies my opinion of her.

in the uk our equivalent to the show was a show called The Jeremy Kyle Show, but less physical. it got cancelled some years ago due to someone opting out so to speak as a result of being humiliated on national tv and social media, was very eerie.

I once talked to a guy who was on the jerry springer show. Him and his girl went on, and they gave her a premise, and they didn't tell the guy. The premise was that she beats him, so she came out and started yelling at him and hitting him. He didn't know what was going on. He thought she was really angry at him. He was like crushed. She had to convince him later that it was just an act. He looked devastated when he was recounting it. I was like, ok, that's how that shit worked. They just completely make shit up, and not everyones on the same page so a lot of the times, the reactions are legitimate. What trash on all levels

The 90s was also a time when talk shows reigned supreme. It was weird to me in 7th grade when I learned that my classmates watched shows like Ricky Lake and Sally Jessie Raphael, and I was still watching cartoons. I remember checking them out to try to fit in. One of the topics that stood out were parents who wanted their goth children made over. Actually…any make-overs were forced on the unwilling guests and wouldn’t even be a better version of their style
