This does not work for me. I've toggled the advanced setting off and on and also tried the icon upload thing. The same message (you cannot upload this filetype) remains.

Why Elementor changes the colors of my SVG sometimes??
to me it happened because I gave the svg a set color other than #000000 when exporting from illustrator. if you do this, this value overwrites any svg that exists on this page and has the #00000 vlaue and gives it that other value color. therefore you should always export your svgs in #000000 and change color in elementor. at least that was the case for my problem

@@ElementorI’m also having this issue. I get “sorry, you are not allowed to upload this file type.” I did enable under elementor settings (actually it was enabled by default but I checked that it was toggled)
