  • Welcome to our Spotlight Sessions, a series dedicated to conversations with change-makers and people that have made an impact on the community of people with disabilities.
In this episode, we had the opportunity to speak with Roy Tuscany, Founder & CEO of High Fives Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that aims to be the leader of education and recovery of life-altering injuries in outdoor action sports. To date High Fives has helped countless injured athletes and Veterans get back to doing what they love.
Roy shared thoughts on the following topics:
    1. Sustaining a life-changing injury that led to starting High Fives.
    2. How the Foundation expanded and came out even stronger after COVID.
    3. Why universal design should be the default and replace the word accessibility.
    4. The power of family and community in sharing hope.
