  • This is all the ships of my British fleet for the game #blackseas by #warlordgames as of autumn 2023. Showcasing the different types, their history and also a little about how I made each one. Most of my hulls will be either from Tuner miniatures or from Warlord games. Most masts are also from warlord games. The ratlines are from Atlantic models. If you have any questions or requests just let me know in the comments below. (Also I do not speak English natively, so names and so on might be pronounced incorrectly)

very nice collection. i think i might buy a bunch as well. but personally i think it costs too much for a small ship. i can litterly buy a 1:150 ship of the line for some the prices, the company charges.

I use a lot of 3d printed models from Turner minitures. But it all has a cost you are right. Lovly models and scale to work on/in, though.

Wauw, great work! I was wondering how many ships you go for when building a fleet. I am still trying to figure this out.

Well, it all depends on the size of battle you like. I find I really like frigate single ship or small squadron say 5th rate and below. Then, to start the master and commander boxed set would work.

Are the Torner and Warlord games both "1/700" but different sizes anyway or did you choose a different scale completely for the smaller boats?

The smaller ships from warlord games are too big. The Turner ones are more true to scale compared to the bigger ships. Down to frigates, it's not so apparent. It's mainly the unrated ships.

      All are 1/700 though

@@LinusNapoleonicShipyard cool. Yeah I'm super picky with my wwii 1/100 scale too. A mm here doesn't sound like much but it nakes a huge difference in small scales!

@@LinusNapoleonicShipyard So i understood it correctly that all your unrated small ships are 3d printed turner miniatures, but the big ones like the victory is from warlord games? Great video btw!

@@RobbeVandenBrande Some of the larger ones are also Turner. But I have no problem with the warlord ones, really like their plastic 3rd rate spruce/frame and most of my ships use their masts from the plastic frames from brig to 3rd. But it's all up to you really. Seen people do great stuff with just warlord models. But as said above the unrated ships, I find a bit large so for them would use Turner.
