- Hello my friends, I hope everyone is doing well. Yesterday I made a video talking about how amazing the Roland MV-8000 is and today I wanted to make another beat on it. I am really trying to log more hours on this beast. I know there is so much it could do that I still haven't discovered yet but with time I will be able to incorporate it more into my current setup. So in the mean while I hope you guys enjoy the beat I made, I think it came out pretty cool. I sampled some Miles Davis and got my jazzyness on. Thank you guys for watching!

The MV is a beast. I’ve had an 8800 since 07’ and just bought another one off reverb because my fan is getting a little loud on the original one. It’s such a dope machine. I use Logic and Studio one but I always come back to my baby

does this come with any built in instruments or samples? I got one, and it seems to be blank. no demo tracks, nothing, or at least not as far as I can tell... it does seem to function just fine however...

when i save a project it always takes up about 400mb even if its just one track with 4 bars. can anybody help with that? is it because of the patch library?
Yeah it sounds your MV is auto loading some sounds and saving them with your projects.

How did you sample from CZcams? Hot beat man pure hiphop.
With 1.8mm ( phone jack) and a 1/4 cable I have an iPad that I sample straight from. There different methods though. Like Soundflower

I can't remember but I want to say I paid $175 for it. If you're going to pay $200 then make sure it comes with the power adapter and possibly a smart media card

That's a good question. I wouldn't think there is unless you connect it to a monitor and use a mouse?

Its just a regular keyboard stand.
how did you get jakes ones kit in the roland?
I burned it to a CD and basically pressed the import button and assigned them to the pads super easy super fast process

I know this comment is old but just in case someone doesn’t know yet: You can connect to the Roland via USB and add them to its hard drive.. or you can get a portable floppy drive online for a fair price. Move some drum samples onto floppy disks and there you go! Saves a lot of time because moving drums one by one on a sampler takes up a bunch of time. Just make sure samples you import are 16 Bit 44.1khz.
