I bought this guitar back in 2017 in college for $400 and it was amazing out of the box. I added a JB SH-4 Pickup in the bridge, new pots, and gotoh tuners and this things plays like a $3k guitar now. It's great. Still making mods and it just keeps getting better.
I have the cobalt blue I’ve had it for about a year I think it’s an incredible value for the money paid about US$550 ….really solid fit and finish and everything is really really high-quality I’m happy with it so far
We are going to vouch for the Ec256 for sure. Not that Cort CR250 is a bad option. But ec256 is way better. And with some pick-up upgrades in the future, you are set all the way!
I have the black cherry one which I think they discontinued awhile back, but the guitar is amazing. The neck is thin which is great if you don't have big hands. It's a whole lotta guitar for the price, highly recommend.

i have the gloss black ec-256 but mine came with active emg gold 81/85 pickups with an 18 volt wiring harness it also came with Gotoh magnum locking tuners the person that had it before me did some major upgrades lol i couldn’t be more happier with it i love my 256 thank you for this video i really enjoyed it seeing all the different colors was awesome
@@lt7601 when I got mine it came with everything as I mentioned I would get the 256 with the emg upgrades and I only paid $425.00 at my local pawn shop so it was a steal all the hardware and pickups are gold they are not cheap so getting the upgraded emg’s would be an awesome deal i hope I answered your question
For some people, might not find a suitable fretboard oil for the Roasted Jatoba, it's known by some people, I also use it, it's a boiled flaxseed oil, makes it so nice. I highly recommend.
I have a cherry burst 256 and I love it. I put some Alnico 5 magnet humbuckers in it and it is just a great guitar. Ive also slapped a bone nut on mine. Its drawbacks are the fret ends on mine are a bit sharp and around the 20th fret there is a high fret. Aside from that its such a good guitar.
The fret sprouts can be sanded, the high fret can be brought down. This being sad, this is a great guitar with stellar reviews, flaws like that shouldn't happen.

I have a lemon drop and it's from somewhere around 2013...maybe? I bought it used off Reverb and I think that color has been discontinued. Mine has a rosewood fret board so that may be why the lemon drop is darker.
Got the crappy purple one , no way does my purple look as bright as yours … my purple (approx 2yrs old) has a lot of black over spray over purple , so unless it’s really bright in the room to show off that purple, my guitar looks black with low lighting .. Besides that mess up paint job my EC256 is a blast to spend time on… That push-pull toggle switch is awesome as well for that tele tone.
One more thing … them guitar parts on the ec256 are from Schecter guitars because Schecter purchased LTD from ESP , I’m thinking about couple years ago I believe .. check with PMTK on here , they mentioned it also.
@@mrtn2842 I just read that scheter owns esp now, and didn't know when happened. But after buying a cheap ec200qm, and i am a esp kinda guy, more specifically LTD guy. For the price can't beat the tones, or the looks.

Just playing palm muted power chords is no way to demonstrate the sound of the guitar. Gotta play some lead lines , some slightly palm muted, slightly ringing arpeggiated chords with overdrive , a heavy riff to demonstrate low end tone, a screaming lick with bends to demonstrate tone on higher register and sustain .

Did you seriously say the tuning stability is better on a fixed than a floyd. Lol not true at all. It is easier to change strings but not at all better tuning stability
G300 pro has better specs since it’s also at a higher price range. 1. Seymour Duncan pickups 2. Stainless steel frets 3. Locking tuners In case budget is around 40k, ec256 is the best.

Does it have a battery compartment since the original pickup are passive ?
@@lt7601 no it doesn’t the batteries are in the control cavity all lose with some foam to protect them

it seems to me that snow white and lemon drop have a much darker fingerboard than the other guitars. Maybe they are older version
