- SHOUT OUT EDINBURGH, you are truly wonderful. Some of my fav places you need to try: kilted donut, ross bagels, Calton hill, topping and company, red door gallery, bonnie burrito, fudge kitchen, cuckoos bakery. Some places other people recommended but I couldn't visit:
- Marys milk bar, love and crumbs, Preachers patisserie.

Hi Grace I’m from Edinburgh, Maki & ramen’s takeaway bowls are designed so the noodles are on top and underneath is a second layer of the container with the broth in it! So sad you didn’t find it bc it’s so good 😅

I came to the comments to see if someone pointed this out. Yeah, their bowls are split so the toppings are on top and the broth is at the bottom.
I’m quite envious that you Europeans can just hop on a train to go to different countries and see all this beautiful history! We Americans usually need to drive for 16 hrs 😂

England isn’t in the EU anymore. And England is in the UK, as well as Wales, Scotland and northern Ireland. So you can freely move in this area. You cannot freely go to the rest of Europe anymore.

@@zuzannanowak8876 First, I’m sorry if my comment was misleading, because I do not live in the UK, although I have family there. Because of Brexit (aka. The UK leaving the European Union) you now need a visa to travel to the rest of the EU. This however was not the case before. There is only an agreement between the Republic of Ireland and the UK that states that the citizens can move freely in those countries. In addition to that there are also taxes on products so imported goods are more costly. Honestly there are so many changes, I wouldn’t be able to list them all, but if you’re really interested search maybe for „Brexit and its consequences“ or something similar. Hope that helped!
I went on a solo trip to Edinburgh last weekend and when I tell you… it was LIBERATING !!! I had the best time ever and this is making me relive it

As an Edinburgh resident it was wonderful to see the city I love through fresh eyes!! Your National Gallery shots have inspired me to pay that place a visit after so long!! If you do return , come during the festival in August.....the city comes alive!!
omg grace the maki and ramen, did you ever realise there was 2 dishes in one and if you pulled the noodle dish up(its the tab that sticks out the side), the soup base was underneath, you can see the liquid swinging round when you move it!! i hope you realied because its so tasty, the tonkotsu ramen is my fave
I think you would like Dublin! I was there on a day trip in 2001 ( from Bangor Uni in North Wales with the International students, which I was technically one of) and it was around St Patrick’s Day. I went off exploring on my own and felt super safe, did not get lost, found a little free/cheap art gallery/museum and had so much fun!

Love this!! I’m 29 years old and lived in Edinburgh all my life. These kinds of videos when my favourite CZcamsrs visit Edinburgh makes me excited as i get to see new places i never knew existed. For example, I’ll definitely be getting a haggis burrito 😍 Cuckoos Bakery is a firm favourite, i love it there. Glad you had a fab time and can’t wait to see you come back ❤️🏴

OMG Grace, you packed a lot of sightseeing into your whirlwind tour & did an awful lot of walking around the Old Town. Yeah, you'll need to go back as there's so much more to see & do in Edinburgh but you certainly made a good stab at it!

Before the pandemic my sister and I went to Edinburgh for the Fringe festival, and we also stayed overnight in Dundee with a friend so we actually got to see a LOT in 48 hours lol! We climbed Dundee Law while in Dundee and went to the V&A which was fab - when we got back to Leeds it felt like we'd been away for a week, not 48 hours, we were exhausted but managed to pack so much in!! We also went to the galleries in Edinburgh and got the tour bus which took us out and about - there's literally so much to do!! If the Fringe returns I recommend you go Grace it's fab, the city is so alive! Xxx
I got engaged at Carlton hill on bonfire night. There was nobody there, it was pitch black and lit up by fireworks over the city it was one of the best nights of my life!! Edinburgh is literally my fav city I go every year but didn’t go last year (was booked to go but fell through)so this video is the little lush I needed to book this year and look at that hotel you were in for sure!!

Going to edinburgh with my sister in a couple of weeks. First time! I am travelling up from the lake district so only an hour and a half journey for me. We lived in Edinburgh for over a decade (moved to Hitchin last year) and we miss it endlessly. My better half did a lovely print of Cuckoos cupcakes which is in the window of the shop if you noticed it 🙂

I always go at Christmas time and stay for the night and go see Scottish ballets production of the Nutcracker, I really recommend going at Christmas and seeing a Scottish ballet performance I think you and your family would really love it ! I actually stayed in the same hotel this Christmas ! and I can confirm the breakfast was great. loved this grace xxxx

i would recommend the 'city cafe' as its designed like an old american diner and really friendly and fun atmosphere as well as great waffles n pancakes
