I think that's part of why Abby's choreography kinda sucks imo. She just yells out the same 10 dance steps and doesn't ever really come up with unique meaningful movements. It's like the difference between Abby and Kalani's teacher from Arizona

I am a gymnast and before I HATED dance (meaning I hated doing it) (This was when I just started watching the show and I was like 6 haha) But now I sometimes even learn the choreography in the groups and I am begging my mom to also put me in dance lol
She said one little remark about losing her train of thought and now all of the comments are trashing her. She’s just trying to do her job. They learn full dances in only a couple of days, she’s just trying to get things done quickly, it’s stressful.
"I need you to dance not be a mannequin" can tell you right now that's not how they talk at club, the rock, mathers, elevation, the playground, westside dance project, any top studios/companies.

Nope, that's why I'm not commenting. I don't know anything about dance at all. I have two left feet, if I were to try to dance right now I would break my neck. I do think she was a little mean, but at the same time though I can't really say much because I don't know anything about it so I'm just saying my opinion but I don't know enough about it to actually have a full opinion if that makes sense. Yeah I think she was a little mean, but what do I know I've never been in dance.
They should put the drama on CZcams and the dancing on tv. It is nice to see Abby like a normal dance teacher instead of how she is portrayed by lifetime.

I only saw Lilly all the time. She just caught my eye. I like her so much. Being the youngest but she got it all. Self confidence. She knows exactly what she does and is focused all the time.
Love to see the work that gets put into the choreography step by step evolving making a full dance and changing to make it perfect. Giana straight point and been clear on what does not need to be there. Was not a harsh coment what she said, she knows the kid could dance thats why she added "you are dancing".

I’ve even been to a master class of Gianna’s and she isn’t overly nice about things. Plus, they learn full routines in a few days, I imagine that as being stressful.

From what I saw in dance moms this is how Abby pick favourites there many factors, but first I want to say that Abby's favourites are not always the best dancers it's just happen that she bias to someone more than the others and then show it strongly. Ok here is how to be the favourite of Abby Lee Miller: 1) your mom's personality should get along with Abby's hard personality. (And that's what I see with melissa and stacey) 2) you should be a very good dancer overall. 3) if Abby knew how to choreograph for you winning solos (knows well your strengths), then this is a strong point for you. 4) you should be the smallest or one of the smallest in the team. ( this point is not very strong but still does effect as we see Lilly is the smallest and Maddy was smaller than others except kenzie) 5) you should have quick understanding of her instructions and apply corrections fast. (Also this what I see in lilly and maddie) 6) you should show Abby that you have a strong passion for dance and the will to learn. 7) you should also show Abby that you really care to please her and to get first everytime. (Lilly was always crying and sad when she didn't win first weeks and Abby noticed that, also maddie was always upset when she loose and abby sees that). In other words, give abby the feeling that she is manipulating you. 8) you have to do well under pressure. So this 8 points I can see them all just in Maddie and Lilly. Other second favourite dancers such as brady, kalani, and some of the others have some of this points but not all of them. And this is never make Lilly and Maddie better dancers than the others, except in Abby's eyes. And that's sad she pick favourites this way ☹ Add other Abby's favourites features if I forgot some. Gianna looks exhausted, I don't blame her for being short with the dancers, however I appreciate Abby's type of teaching here, letting the dancers be creative and have fun while they are workshopping the dance. If the dance was finished and they were just cleaning it I'd understand the goofing off being irritating, but they were still changing and forming the dance.
Why don’t they put more of this in show? The show should be more about dance then the moms. This is more entertaining and cool to watch the process and then the finished product on stage.

It's really weird seeing people in the comments comparing Gianna being stressed out and scolding the kids for messing around to a prison warden or child abuser lmao. She's a choreographer on a competition team; They're basically all like that, and she wasn't even that mean about it. Competitive teams are a lot more serious than something like school, where they do have time to goof off.

Nah, it's a correction like any other. Dancers get that pretty often, it's actually constructive.
Gianina was raised on broadway and big projects so she gets this kind of constructive feedback all the time.

tbh i feel bad for Gianna, ofc she gets stressed. Abby is paralyzed so Gianna has to do all the work and has to show what Abby wants. She's under a lot of pressure. and also gianna isnt rude shes deadass just a dance teacher correcting her students.
Gianna looks exhausted, I don't blame her for being short with the dancers, however I appreciate Abby's type of teaching here, letting the dancers be creative and have fun while they are workshopping the dance. If the dance was finished and they were just cleaning it I'd understand the goofing off being irritating, but they were still changing and forming the dance.
Some of y’all have never been on a competition team and it shows. Gianna isn’t saying anything out of character for a dance teacher.

This is professional dancing, she's really supposed to critique... the praising can come after the actual performance is perfected.

She was not mean at all..She was just correcting their mistakes that’s all..She has a lot of pressure on her cause she is the one who has to demonstrate the dance to the kids..😌🌸

It's really weird seeing people in the comments comparing Gianna being stressed out and scolding the kids for messing around to a prison warden or child abuser lmao. She's a choreographer on a competition team; They're basically all like that, and she wasn't even that mean about it. Competitive teams are a lot more serious than something like school, where they do have time to goof off.
