Hi, Taylor thanks for the sub. Most vans in the UK are really basic so getting one with A/C is a mission and to have the cruise control as well. I'm just over the moon :)
Will be watching as just started 2011 lwb High Top transit camper build myself, i also wanted a Sprinter but finding a good one was hard and was pleasantly surprised as to how well the Transit drives and how nippy they are. Just gonna watch your progress so far. :-)

I was looking and saving for a long time, studying build videos. Then I found a van that was cheaper than what it would cost for a cargo van and a build out. Also I was running out of time to find something usable. I still have a notion to buy a van to build what I truly want in the space. I look forward to seeing what you create.
Lily Gazou sometimes fate takes over and you just have to go with it. I started out looking for a LWB sprinter and ended up with a ford transit I think to get a sprinter in same condition and same spec as the transit I would have to pay out 3 times as much and well out my budget. So I’m really pleased I landed this one 👍

Transits are known to rot their inner and outer sills and their driver / passenger steps. If you haven't already get under and check, hopefully the underneath is as good as the rest.

Some of the Sprinters I have seen are shockingly rusty
@@BigVanSmallWorld I saw one on the other day. It was 15 reg and already rotted many places. Really? The only reason companies buy them because the engine is reliable. If you find any rust treat them straight away. I would get it treated with wax oyl as well. Then you will be ok for many years. Good buy
But .. it's not a LDV ? :D Transit .... hmmm. Glad you got a good deal .. Enjoy! :D As to the Mid roof problem, design your van around you sitting down to do everything, and have a free single-seat on wheels. Then design a Murphy bed to fold down from the ceiling, like modern camper vans. Good luck !
Hay thanks for the great advice I was thinking about having twin bench seats so I can do everything sitting down also gives options for second bed. I need fixed bed at the back for the under bed storage. I have so many ideas wizzing around in my head I’m going dizzy 😬
That's a great van. The transit im converting has no a/c or cruise control. It had no windows etc. Your van has 2 windows which will save you a fortune. My build is going very slow cos im fitting it around work and other stuff, so its dragging a bit. Look forward to seeing your build.
Mange 2 I have blocked one window out there a pain for condensation I only brought this van because it had A/C so so hard to find a van with it fitted so yes really lucky thank you for the positive comments really appreciate it good luck with your build. I have taken time off work to do mine but will need to get back soon it’s a pain I know 🤙👍😬
You can retrofit cruise control, you might need to change the Body Control Module if you don't already have the right one. Check out the Transit forum (.org) for details.

mate that's just more things to go wrong cruse control. AC .. ect - ect fully loaded means it just cost more down the line or sooner .. stick to basics .

Dont you put that silver insulation stuff under it ?
No it’s a waste of money it’s not made for that it’s a reflective barrier not and insulation I use plastic as a vapour barrier the same way as they do when building a house
