    I searched the term railfanning... i never thought i had this kind of feeling of loving trains so much since i was a kid 😭 not until i learn there is a term for people like me.. sorry, we had few, old trains in our country

    Great video, thank you for showing the entire train. Far too many train videos just show the power and a few cars, I like seeing the whole thing like I was there. Very nice.

      I only skip the middle in my youtube videos if they are unit trains because seeing tanker after tanker or autorack after autorack for minutes straight gets really boring.

    noticing where 4175 is labeled "Under Warranty" - wonder what kind of warranty you get on a locomotive, and I wonder if the fine print says "Warranty void if product used for other than intended purpose".

    Great video . The BNSF oil train at 7:20 and 34:00 was really cool.
    That spot to the right of the bridge is a great place to train watch , must be a very long stretch of straight track the trains cruise through there ...

    Mentor Ohio is a great place to watch trains! I used to watch trains in that exact spot back in the 90's when it was conrail and still go there every time I visit Ohio 👍🏼. I laughed when you were running over to the NS line I've done that many times.

    Erie West Sub Productions, thanks for the video. I'm pretty sure those wind turbine blades are the same ones that go by my house in Magnolia Texas all the time. If I remember correctly they are manufactured in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Pretty cool to see them all the way up in Ohio, if they are the same ones. BTW, I grew up in upstate New York and have spent some time in the Erie area (NY,PA and OH). Although, I've only really "been through" OH, haven't had a chance to spend a lot of time there yet.

    • @EricVinciquerra
      @EricVinciquerra  Před 7 lety

      Cool! I do believe that this turbine train originated from that area. The area I railfan has almost the exact same rail traffic as Erie. There are some good spots just west of cleveland to see trains, like Berea.

      Thanks and yes it is! The Deekers Sidetracks building was used here in Mentor, Ohio about a hundred years ago or so as a station for passenger service. There used to be 4 tracks that ran through here, but now there are only 2. And this spot is not commonly known for it's history of the deadly 20th Century Limited wreck in 1905 at this exact spot.

      Those are trash containers. For where I watch trains, there used to be a CSX Q711 (unit trash train) that was sometimes over 100 cars of nothing but trash. Smelled pretty bad... But now CSX has combined the eastbound and westbound unit trash trains with mixed freight trains.
