  • I made this jig to help cut thin pieces with my jigsaw. It is relatively easy to make, and is a good starting jig for people to make and use. The toggle clamps are from Harbor freight and are great to have for many applications.

Very clever! Great job! (also like the clamping solutions (the toggle clamps AND how it clamps to the workbench)👍

Thanks! The toggle clamp is fantastic- I loved replacing what it came with to make it more useful. I got the idea for the workbench clamping from my portable router table I made where I do the same thing!

I like this! Could one like this be made to make 45 deg. cuts, like for French cleats? New subscriber here! 😊

That’s such a great idea! The base of most jigsaws adjust, so that would make it easy to do!

Thanks Brenon! I appreciate the comment and for you watching the video! The longform videos are definitely not my strong suit

I like this a lot! In your mind, what is the difference between this setup and a scroll saw? Thank you.

A scroll saw is more versatile for intricate cuts. I see this as being good for longer curves and straight cuts where pieces are too thin to rip elsewhere.
