    have any tips or advice or tricks you have learned to edit faster? Does it normally take this long to edit videos? I edit on my phone have tried using the computer but it seems it takes me longer and is clunky for me? maybe im not using the right programs just getting the clips from the phone then transferring them to the computer take awhile.
    Seems i spend alot of time adjusting the music and or even finding songs that i may use so that takes up alot of time editing. Alot of these clips are self shot and pan zoomed trying to order the clips seems to chip at the time trying to figure out which B roll to use slo moving things speeding things up etc
    been observing some people editing just on a day basis kinda like vlog style so maybe that would cut down on how to order the clips up?
    Been experimenting with trials flatland stuff always liked brake riding
    if anyone has any tips or advice with any of these tricks (Particularly with the "Fire Whips" some call them this or multiple firehydrants or pinky squeaks?) would love to hear it my record is 7 whips almost beat it but for some reason this trick is very very inconsistent and takes me like 2 hours to get past 5 at times? is it maybe my bike geometry? it does seems like most people i see do this trick they use short stems? maybe its my brake setup? maybe theres to much slack or not enough? maybe its my tire pressure? not sure?
    Seems theres many different variations to the fire whip some with 1 scuff some with 2 some where they put there foot on the frame? have also seen someone do some sort of vader jam foot jam brakeless version

    Editing advice, since you asked... Back when I did action sports edits I tried to pick a few songs that matched the energy of the video content I had along with the vibe I wanted to get across.
    Then I'd put the music in, and add markers for all the various measures/bars and for major transitions like break downs etc etc.
    Then I'd cut up all my video segments and try and find stuff that matched all the various measures and what not so it all lined up with the music.
    I'd use B-roll or just talking bits like you got in the intro or break downs of sings or between songs... but I'd keep stuff shorter.
    Oh and play with strange camera angles. Get those octopus GoPro mounts and attach it to stuff and then shred into the scene then out.
    Oh and uh... it's kind of cheat but most folks speed their stuff up just 3-7% or so to look a little cooler, get rid of that GoPro effect that makes stuff look slower than you remember it.

      Oh Wow thanks for taking the time to write that insightful comment! I haven't heard anyone bring up making markers for songs with he bars a measures that seems very useful. Another thing I've been struggling with it seems is finding copyright free music that i like haha
      kinda funny you mentioned speeding up things i messed around with that in this edit first time really experimenting with that

      @@JamieRomoser Oh and I forgot to mention, play with Camera angles more. Get a GoPro octopus mount and hook it up to all sorts of random stuff to give you the great angle. For example that church stairs that had the rail next to it, attach it on there low and looking up!

    Nice..what kind of sprocket guard is that little thing?
    Profile cranks i see

    • @JamieRomoser
      @JamieRomoser  Před 28 dny

      Its actually a custom sprocket guard I made for the Profile 18 tooth. I took a peice of aluminum and with a file and drill filed it down and drilled some holes for it to fit. some reason profile doesn't make a sprocket guard that fits the 18 tooth
