I member back in the 80s Martin tore it up. Was the best flatlands out there. I'm from Alabama and rode my ass off in my teens and 20s. Man it's great to see a legend still ripping.
You are without a doubt the role model to any flatlander that age is just a number. I'm 49 and having fun after 10 yrs off. Your riding is still dialed in my eyes. Keep shredding!👍👊👏🍻
Martin im 51 years old and and I idolized you as a teen in the 80's. I've been riding Mt. Bikes since the mid 90's and strayed away from freestyle. I saw you still freestyl'n and dude you just make me smile. Now I wanna go buy a flatland bike again. God bless you sir! 🤘🏼😎🤘🏼
Whaouh, so much memories man,i am french i've seen you in 1986 at Paris at the Bercy show with mike domineguez, what an afternoon for the kid i was!! Great to see that you're still there riding, take care bro.
Still rockin a cassette, no free coaster. Still smooth as ever and still progressing. Most of all I love seeing these legends still having fun on their bikes.
Your an inspiration to all us old schoolers who think it's to late to get back on the bike and get Rad! And yes, I did pick up on a couple of tricks straight out of the Rad intro! Front hop whips!! Hell yea!
Great stuff Martin! You're an inspiration to a lot of us older riders, since the RAD days. You're still riding strong at 58y/o, showing lots of VARIETY in BMX Freestyle; a lot of the old school tricks have been "forgotten" or not being done anymore (maybe the totally NEW school riders thought they weren't cool? haha). I guess riders like you will stand the test of time by not following the 'trend' so much. BMX Freestyle is cool with limitless possibilities!
Dude I was a huge fan of yours as a kid. I bought issue after issue of Freestyle magazine and watched every video clip / movie I could find. I bought my GT pro performer and rode the hell out of it trying to learn as many tricks as I could. I am impressed as hell that your still at it. Time has not been as kind to me although I still have my OG Pro Performer and restored it back to it former glory days. Now I just keep it for sentimental reasons and memories of the good ole days when life was a whole lot simpler. 🤙🤙🤙🤙
Keeping it real RAD style! Martin your the The Chairman of all time. I’m into freestyle thanks to You, Eddie, Dennis and pretty of others. Thanks for your great moves on the bike I’m so enjoy your videos. 🙂
I watched you growing up & I,m now 50 & I have to say you still got it , one of the smoothest trick riders in the sport today , way better than these young riders out there & I still ride also , it’s all about being smooth & letting the tricks flow together , todays kids just don’t understand that .
So much more refreshing to watch than the modern flatland spinning in circles the whole time. So boring. Would love to see if Kevin Jones is still around and riding.
@@martinaparijooldschoolbmxp9388 even more impressive, Martin! I had the GT pro freestyle tour in 1988. I remember when Dennis McCoy became a free agent he was riding one but with Haro handlebars, so I switched over. I can tell you that combination was awesome. What’s your advice for buying a flat land bike for the first time in over 30 years? Unfortunately, my bike was stolen in 1997 😭
@@martinaparijooldschoolbmxp9388 Awesome!!! That’s even better! Any plans of ever putting it into production? I’m sure there would be an audience for it…
@@martinaparijooldschoolbmxp9388 sorry Martin ain’t trying to push it, appreciate your answers so far. There’s just one more thing that’s been bugging me: the length of the crank arms you’re riding now. How long are they? I feel a bit hesitant to go with a 165 but your advice would help me a great deal. Thanks!

Just missed the old good days with my bmx...hope to own old bmx again...

Martin Aparijo and Eddie Fiola are the king of flat land tricks and aero jumps.. they both make their moves spectacular...
Transition master, flawless flatland. Whipinit beast mode.😈👍
Still rockin a cassette, no free coaster.
Still smooth as ever and still progressing.
Most of all I love seeing these legends still having fun on their bikes.
Thanks bud. I'm 60 now.
Beast!! Making it look easy, and all those tricks are hard!!

Loft yo jive. This dude was on every teenager wall as a God back in the day. Epic times. Still smooth as ever.

I LOVE this guy
My favorite flatland rider then AND now👍🤘
Love to watch him ride. A Legend !
YOU'RE AN '80s LEGEND.
BMX was my dream bike when I was kid. 😃
This is AWESOME! I’m actually watching RAD for like the 200th time as I type this 💪💪
This was an awesome video I love flatland BM. X freestyle. 9 out of 10.👍👍
hey martin keep it up as the good work, long as your having fun hey do you guys still ride at huntington beach if so what days...
Dude I'm pretty sure your better now than you were in the '80's.
I'm going to put my RAD dvd in now. Great flatland!!! Time to break the ice. 🤙
I can't remember if Martin rode for GT or Haro. The name was in all the BMX magazines back in the day. Cool to see he still has it wired.
Awesome! We need a bike check video with some details on the brake setup!
I built a custom pink PFT because of you
Ah, the Miami hopper requested 🎉
I love you man! A 52 Brazilian rider.

Hw kool Man ! Congrats !
Still got it!
still got it
Send Me an Angel by Real Life needs to play during this video
So rad! I would like to see a Cowboy Martin.
So good! For any age
Wow Martin! Riding better at 58 than 28.
Thank you. I'm 60

Damn! Nicely done
Time to get on the SE big bike train and show those kids how to progress beyond wheelies.
Still the best around.
What bike are you riding these days? The old school GTs and Haro's are insane
Rad!
GOAT
Appreciate you
🔥Martin!!🤙
Freestyle for life.
What is that bike frame?
Loving the longer vids, Chairman!🤙
Always wanted to ask you if it’s Eddie’s ProFormer that you’ve been riding lately?
No sir
@@martinaparijooldschoolbmxp9388 Thanks for your reply! Could it be that you’re on a GT (if I may ask?)
It's my own proto type. I love it.

And this, young gentlemen, is why you keep brakes on your freestyle bike...
So you can ride a bike... that don't impress me much!
