The cost of everything has gone up due to the dollar being watered down by this, National Debt to the Penny $34,725,850,323,608.22 so we adjust wages, manufactured goods, r what we buy and have serviced. 2% inflation with 3.5% growth. That's the grand plan and it works but sometimes things get out of whack and it takes a while for things to settle down. Maybe it will be different this time. Would be nice if we could afford to pay people to make things here again and maybe that will eventually happen. If it costs 20 bucks/hour for hamburger flippers what's it going to cost to make our own carburetors ?

It already takes several weeks to get anything from Temu, if you ever get it and if you get what was actually ordered....
Being able to shop around for other parts options other than over-priced OEM parts is always a good thing....trouble is sometimes its all hit and miss as to whether it works or not, even OEM.

It's become all about selling product not parts . I see many times the manufacturers and dealers only want to sell new equipment and either discontinue parts or make them only available as a kit with unnecessary parts . Example , compression release on Briggs cams . Easy to replace I've been doing it for years , will Briggs sell the parts ? " NO BUY A NEW CAM " That's why I've been saving every good one I find . That's why I decided to retire and the addition of unnecessary electronics . Good Luck New Guys .

    Well where to start:
1 most everything to do within the lawnmower industry (non commercial) is made there anyway maybe assembled here but...
2 try to see where it's shipped from to get it faster minus shipping
3 try to buy American not Chinese stuffs they already have a big enough foothold here as it is
4dont buy from the big box stores their stuff is throne together with the cheapest parts as it is, better to spend a little more and go to a dealer (better engines better rearendsbetter decks etc.)

Honestly, my personal problem is getting parts moved from the US to Canada.
$500 shipping on a $100 part is untenable.
